ok installed my safc everything is hooked up right, but i don't know how to program it i put in the settings i thot were correct but apparently they're not lol..
for sensor type i put it was a Pressure.. for the in i put 06 and for out it was left at 01
for the type of car i selected 4 cylander and as for the thr i left that w/ the diagonal up arrow.. i didn't know how to set that one.
other than that i left the safc the way it came programmed.. can someone help me out here.. this car is my daly driver i shoulda researched this more than just jumping into installing it w/out knowing how to set it so my car will run..

i turn it on and then it shuts right off.. sometimes it will turn on and idle for a second or 2 then die.. and one time it started and idled for a little bit but once i hit the gas it shut off.

 

its something to do with the 6 in 1 out.... im thinking.. try fooling with that.

hmm.. well i left it at 6 and 1 then i tried 6 and 0 haha that didn't work.. then i turned it up to 6 and 6 but then the car turned off right away.. i duno.. i should mess w/ it some more i guess..

 

do you know if the arrow should be pointing diagonally up? or down? or no arrow at all? thanks

 

just wondering, but does the afc display the air/fuel ratio?

 

yeah its gotta be up. try setting them both at 1. 1 in 1 out.

Make sure that you have all your wiries hooked up right! I think the 6in 6 out is ref. to how many readings you want it to take and yes throttle pos. should be up.

 

yeah i checked all my connections again.. but when i have it on 6 in and 6 out the car won't even start

 

thats why i told you to put it on 1 in and 1 out.

 

yeah.. i was reading the directions to my friends vafc and it says to have it as 6 in 6 out.. but maybe it's different for me sinc ei'm non vtec?

Thinking back, it should be 6 in and 6 out I THINK. I'll double check mine for you later if you'd like.

Seriously, triple check your connections. Check your grounds, specifically. The safc is very picky. Make sure the two grounds are about a cm apart.

i had one of those in my car.... safc.....well double check ur wiring then 6 in and out, arrow up , 4cyl.....but the way it sounds u probably connection on the map sensor is wrong....this the one u bypass the map sensor wire on the ecu...check it again

 

thanks for the help guys.. i don't know if this will be running right yet because my TPS is broken so once i replace that hopefully everything will be running right..

 

i had pressure and 0 in and 0 out and it worked prefectly. but uf i changed it, it'll instantly stall out.
