AEM V2
I had the v2 on my Prelude and as far as I know all of the v2's are short ram so why would you need to remove it when it rains...maybe if your slammed to the ground but still it sits INSIDE the engine bay. I have had both the regular aem cai and the v2 and power gains were minimal on both but the v2 did sound alot better..or maybe that was the mugen exhaust

This is crap. The V2 is a CAI except in cars that do not have the engine bay space. The RSX is the only car I know of that doesn't have the room for the V2 to be a cold air intake, in which case, they make it a SRI. The Integra LS (I speak from experience) has plenty of room for it.
I don't think the power increase is more than one or two HP over their regular CAI, but every bit helps. I would get it off eBay to save money. Good luck.

if you didn't notice, there is a big hole underneath the engine. water can come up, even if you have those plastic guards in place. my street got flooded recently and I had water coming up over the hood for a bit. a CAI would have sucked up a LOT of water at that point.

If the water is high enuf to come over the hood, a SRI won't help any more than a CAI. Why would you atempt to drive through that anway? At that point, the best thing to do is shut your car off and push it as far out as possible.

I didn't say anything about a SRI. and I didn't know it was that deep! there was just a big dip and my car slowed waaaay down. I was suprised I made it thru.
personally, I think AEM is overpriced unless you live in dry weather and you don't want to swap intakes for smog. ah, hell, they're ALL overpriced, but money comes and goes. unless you are upgrading other things as well [IM, exhaust, cams] you will just be paying for the cool sound. for about the same price as the V2, you can get a Skunk2 intake manifold or add another $150 or so for a nice header. those will do more for you than an intake, and you can save money with a DIY intake. it's your $$, so do what you want. = $0.02
oh, and you didn't specify year. the V2 is available for LS but not for DA. it'd probably fit if you move the battery, I don't know the differences that well.

ebay intake: $15 (+$19 "shipping")
AEM: $15 for intake, $135 for CARB EO sticker
Thats one expensive sticker. Then again, I paid for mine...
Smog laws are retarded. Its a metal tube.

.... so howm much hp gain will Skunk2 intake manifold give me, i already have I/H/E someone told me to upgrade to v2 sice it gives u much more hp, so i was looking for oppinions and is it worth it to upgrade to v2 if not i may as well invest in cams or intake manifold.

I seriously doubt a manifold will help much without more work done first. Especially if you have an LS, since the s2 mani is a copy of the type-r which makes power high up at the expense of the lower rpms.
Cams are always a good thing if you are going to stay all motor. But if you really want more power, it might be time for ls-vtec, forced induction, or both.

cams and intake manifold go hand-in-hand. if you already have an intake, you are not likely to see much difference except a lighter wallet. if you plan on staying all-motor and more upgrades, then maybe it'll be worth it down the road.
but like turboN00b said you are paying for that 50-state legal sticker.

u guys i reallyy really need help well i put in the V2 today an then i start the car an is makin this wierd sound an rettlles an **** like then. i go for a drive the car wont pass 4000rpm i rev it to the same **** idk wuts wrong when i had the stock one it didnt do all this noise an **** the engine sounds like it is not getttin enouhg gas or something idk i need asap..
Thats bunk. Pay so much for a V2 intake and it makes your car run like ***. The V2 is not really worth it compared to the regular CAI. Where exactly is the tube vibrating? Is your idle okay?
I think AEM made the V2 for sound purposes and maybe make more money off of people. Remember you can only take in so much air, the speed of the air is a factor, and bigger isnt always better. Think about the straw analogy.
