Advice on suspension setup
Hi folks-
I've done a good amount of reading. Here's what I'm looking for
* About a 1-1.5" drop
* better handling for daily driving, the occasional trip to the drag trip, etc..not any auto-x at the time but maybe later
* aggressive spring rates- but not too "soft" not too "killer"- I also don't want to create excessive understeer or oversteer
* I'd like to avoid excessive tire wear (too much negative camber)
Here's basically what I've winded it down to..
Eibach Pro-Kit 331 lb/in F ... 126 to 194 lb/in R
Tein S-Tech Soft 145 to 335 lb/in F.....67 to 273 lb/in R
ITR springs 246 lb/in F.......140 to 246 lb/in R
Comptech springs 331 lb/in F.....126 to 194 lb/in R
I've ruled out H&R Sports because from what I've been reading, they are too soft, sag too low, and the spring rates aren't too great for now low it is.
I think i'd be running on KYB AGX's or Koni Yellows (used)
ITR springs look like an attractive choice but don't lower the car enough
So I think that leaves us down to s-tech soft, prokit, or comptech.
I'd like to hear from people who actually have these setups or experience with them- No "hearsay" please. This topic has been discussed a number of times, and people consistently put in what "they’ve heard from their boys.."
Lets try to come to a consensus on a clear winner for this category. I'm hoping this will help others looking for something similar..FYI I'm on 16" wheels.
Thanks,
Rubens

Out of those choices, I would personally pick the Tein's due to their spring rates.
You may want to consider a coilover sleeve, due to the fact you can pick your spring rate and you can set your own height.
So if you want 1" drop with 300f-600r, you can do that with GC's.

Unfourtunately, cost is a major concern of mine

The Integra I picked up last night has the following:
Ground Controls Special Edition
Tokico Illuminas 5way adjustables
Ingals Camber Correction kits
All I can say is WOW! I was seriously in shock when I drove it 150 miles home and hardly felt bumps in the road. I had some cheaper coil sleeves and konis on my Si and it was bullshit compred to the GC/Illuminas.

I have tokico adjustables and bilstein shocks. I can definetely feel almost everything on the road, which I like. But when I turn it feels more like a glide than a turn and the car sticks to the road. I love it except for when im on really bumpy roads.

No more than $500.
I can pick up some used yellows + A pro-kit or s-tech softs for around that much probably. I'd rather have used yellows than new AGX's i think.

nuespeed sports on KYB AGX
thats what I run looks good not too low but deffinently noticable, and MUCH better handling(when on setting 4)or you can make it real soft and run on the 1st setting.
