wow 2 pointless replys...when it comes to advancing your timing it will always make a difference...increase the peak cyclinder pressure..bigger detonation...but anyhow how about someone who has advance there timing about 18 degrees and noticed a difference reply instead of pointless remarks i want personal experience in gains i know what it does just seeing what everyone though about doing it

damn, harsh for a noob to be make n those "pointless replys".

advance n the timing will most of the time give u HP. u will see more from built all motor cars when u advance the timing. i advanced my timing by 2* and gained 5 whp, but if u dont have things in ur car like cams, u wont see a big improvement in HP

You really should chill, you don't have to be rude, you're lucky they responded at all. Its not exactly a difficult tech question. You could have searched.

You might see a slight difference in low end power. I did this on my basically stock DA3 just for the hell of it, and there was a little difference, but not a big one.

You want power? Get a turbo or something.

GTFO! Don't be a smart-*** to people trying to help. You're lucky someone hasn't ripped you a new ******* for not searching yet, as this topic has been covered numerous times.

Haha, do you honestly think that advancing your timing is going to yield significant power gains?

bitch about the reply when ppl dont even answer the question i mean seriously no **** ppl advance there timing for many reason i was simply asking for ppl w/ personal experience w/ advancing there time 18* not 2, 3, 12, 14 or whatever...i know might have been smartass sorry bad day...but the first two replies weren't helping one bit there were quite pointless...and no i didn't think doing this would show major power gains..perhaps quicker throttle response and low end no yield 50 horse....

So an integra idles at approx 16BTC and total timing is around 30. You want to advance it 18 degrees huh? So base timing at around 34 and total around 48. For some reason I don't think your car is gonna run too well. Have fun turning your distributor that far. But good luck with all that.

Its only a timing question. Just play with your timing for god sake, it won't cause irreversible damage or something. Change it a little, take it out for a spin, rinse, repeat if necessary. You'll figure it out.

Now, let this thread die.
