Actuator Question
I have a 90 Integra 2 dr gs with custom actuators already installed in them. however the driver side actuator is going becuz everytime i unlock my door it makes a loud buzzing soung. i was just wondering if i can just replace that actuator with a brand new actuator just for the driver side and leave the passenger side the same, or do i have to buy both the same actuator? thanks and does neone know the price range for actuator?
You should be able to just buy a new actuator for the driver side, and leave the passenger side as is. The wiring should be different for each side, so I would just take the door panel off, carefully disconnect and mark the wires from the old actuator, then buy a new actuator with the same connections. I have seen a lot of actuators on ebay for like $10, but there are better brands out there that will be over $20, but they aren't all that expensive. Any actuator should work, but if you can find one that is exactly the same as the old one, it might make the install easier in terms of bolt locations, size and wire connections.

you could just replace the boken actutator. its very simpleonce you open the door up and see how everything works. there should be two wires, a green and a blue wire. just cut and replace and re wire the colors. the new actuators most likely will come with the same colors.
