acceleration stumble....?
Sometimes when I accelerate rapidly (not WOT) at around 4 to 5 thousand the rpm's kinda stumble for a second. I wish I had a way to easily record the sound onto here. It's sounds like woooaaaaaahhhhHHHH*stumble*HHHHH. It is only for a milisecond, like I lifted off the pedal then pressed back down. More like a twitch of the foot would replicate it....

Wires are brand new.... same with the plugs..... though I did mess around with with the wires one day. That is a possible, thanks.....
still open to other suggestions and ideas......

if you mixed a couple wires then your motor would barely run. the stumble at a certain RPM dictates something deeper than just the tension wires
oh BTW in my LS if i'm in a higher gear. usually 2nd or 3rd and i go below 2k and then i gun it. at around 3k i get a foward lunge effect, a huge boost in power, which is related to my powerband so at around that rpm i get a huge power increase which accounts for my car lunging foward.. could this be what u feel?

Nah, my car doesn't lunge at all. It does it before the cam switches over too....
It's like when your in first and you get that bog then go when your revs are too low. But it does more briefly than that.... and always right below 4500 rpm or so.... hmmmmm? Anyone else??

oh whoops. didn't see you had a GS-R.. i dunno if this could happen but maybe your VTEC system is engaged in the secondary lobes and won't disengage even when you drop below 4400. that could explain why you have no power until 4400 cuz the secondary lobes are designed to make power from 4400+.. just thinking
It sounds like it might have to do with your VTEC. It's confused hehe...
Seriously though, on a road trip once, I found myself in 5th moving between 4400+ and below, noticed the same thing. I'm pretty sure it has to do with VTEC.

Bone stock, so far.....
What I am tryin' to figure is why it so consistently occurs at the same rpm......
