Default AC Problem

My AC doesn't work, it blows out regular warm air. Do you guys have any solutions on how to fix my AC? I asked a couple of people but they said that you have to refill something. Please give me some more info. on what and where to get the stuff to fix the problem. Thanx!

Well MOST LIKELY your ac just needs a Recharge...Take it to a AC/Radiator place they can recharge it for you, or atleast tell you whats wrong with it...Or you can be a real man and take it out haha

Huh? I would like to know what was retarded about that answer? That is most likely the problem... It most likely just has to be recharged, either that or you have a leak somewhere...I was kidding anyway about the "be a real man and take it out"

Lighten up yo!

what year car?? If it's older than 94? then its an R-12 system, which is banned for sale. I get mine off ebay (about 25$ per can), but you have to have a license to buy it. the license is available from http://www.imaca.org for 15$. The label under the hood should tell you if its R-12 or R-134a. R-134a is available at parts stores for 5$ a can and it takes about two cans to fill the system. again, check the label for refrigerant type and capacity. you must have the system vacuumed to remove air and moisture, also you need to find the leak. check all the fittings and the compressor for oil. any leak will have an oily , dirty residue at the source of the leak. PM me for more info if you need to . good luck

Jetdriven,
I went and checked out the AC certification thing. Is the test hard? Might do it.
