Default AC Help

Hey guys how are you doing I have an important question about my AC. Well I was riding the other night and my AC was working fine and when I went to shut it off the pther night it made this funny squealing noise so I turned it on and off again to see if it would make that noise but the noise continued. Today I went to turn the air on and hot air came out. Would it be an AC recharge in need or a burnt compressor? I was plannin on going boost anyways and I was wondering if it would better to be with out AC anyways

I have a feeling the compressor is locked up.

If this is a DC, then you're going to have to replace the compressor, drier, exp valve, and put in an in-line filter. If you wait too long (a few months) ther is a residue that builds up in the system and creates an acid which eats away at the evaporator.

do you have an aftermarket intake? if you do, you're goign to have to check the AC hose that runs under it. A lot of intakes will rub that hose and create a hole which causes the refrigerant to leak out.

The replacement parts are not that expensive. I got everything I needed, including an evaporator for $200. The install is the most expensive part.

If you're looking to get 400hp w/ a turbo setup, then you may want to think about removing the AC and PS to allow for bigger piping, turbo, manifold, etc.

It's all up to you though. I went without AC for 2 years, and it wasn't bad until I wanted to take a girl out. The summer's in FL are hot as hell.

at first that was my plan, but I never got around to turboing it and I was too cheap to get it fixed.
