ac help
ac stop working all of a sudden, believe the compressor wont start because rpm stays constant when turning on AC... Ac light comes on, wind comes in from the fan but no cold air. What can go wrong electronically with AC?

if there is no change in the rpm's when you turn it on then the compressor is prolly not engaging... it could be the compressor but if im not mistaken there is an ac switch or relay that could be faulty.

Sounds like the compressor is shot.</TD></TR></TABLE>
The Ac can leak out
It sounds like you are low on pressure. The same thing happened with my GF. Bought a top up kit from autozone for $20 and works fine.

The system may not have a small leak, however if it is not cycled often the freon can lose its charge.
A top up kit basically does as it says-replenishes lost freon, you attach it to the low pressure connector and follow the directions. For $20 its worth a try. It may take a few secondes but the compressor will kick on.

yes, the only reason you should have to refill it is if it has a leak. in wisconsin its illegal to attempt to fix your ac system without being state certified.
