That's normal, an a/c clutch is supposed to engage and disengage after a while. Now whether or not you have enough freon is another question.

I had that exact same problem with my integra ls. The problem is that you have too much freeon. Mine was running fine when i started the car but as soon as the car got hotter the compressor turns on and off constantly not letting the air cool. And dont check the freeon level with the gauge that they sell with the bottle. Get a mechanic with good gauges that connect to the hot and cold side.

drain it WTF. HOW DO YOU DRAIN A GAS? HMMMM
your compressor is short cycling because it either has to much refrigerant (r12 or r134) or not enough refrigerant. take it to a shop, unless u have an AC machine.
You cannot get the right amount of refigerant from thse cans at the parts store.
you need to have a die put in for diagnostic purposes ( shows leakage under a black light). If you have R12, you will need some conversion fittings to retrofit it to R134. If you have R134 already have the die installed and hook it up to the machine. i would advise having this done by a proffesional.
our shop charges 39.99 to hook it up to the machine, and 19.99 per lb. of r134.
