Its a 94' LS and everytime i start the car the ABS makes a noise for a bit then stops and when it stops the ABS on my gauge glows...... anyone have any idea?
*When i say ABS makes a noise its the component in the engine not the brakes or rotors*

I have the same problem. The sound you're hearing is the ABS modulator trying to pressurize itself. This is a common problem in 94-95 integras due to the design of the system.
First thing you should do is pull your error code. Use this thread as a reference: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=978933
You're most likely going to pull the following codes:
18- high pressure system
13-high pressure leakage
If you go to a shop they're going to want to replace the modulator, but that's gonna cost about $1000 with labor. However, a common fix for the system leak is replacing a $2 seal at the accumulator.

It's part # 23: 57072-ST5-003 O-RING (P5) 1.20

try taking out the sensor and cleaning it before you replac it, they gather road dirt over the years. you'll see it on the back of the hub, its a wire going into a sort of cylindrical shaped thing with a 10mm bolt holding it in. use a bit of brake or carb cleaner and a rag...or WD40. Good luck

So you dont have to take off your rotors off to replace it?

My light has been on forever and I always hear the motor pump for about 2-3 seconds every 10 minutes or so. How hard is that $2 seal. My code is high pressure system. and the lines are not leaking.

As far as I know, no, it would be very unusual to have to take them off just for an ABS sensor, can't say I've ever had to.

Maybe(?) you can change the sensor from the inboard side of the brakes. But as easy as it is to take off the rotor, why not do that & have a look?

mine used to bzzz for several seconds on startup, and then the ABS light would come on in the dash. sometimes the light didn't come on, but the light would sometimes go on or off during a longer drive, and after almost every drive it would switch (if it was on for the last drive, it will be off the next one). i found a replacement from a '96 canadian market integra, and it took about 45 mintues to replace. never ever had the light come on again, except right around startup when it comes on for a system check. in fact, i can SLAM the brake pedal at about 45mph in a pouring rain and not lock up and not have ABS come on. decent tires, i guess. stops great dry, too. hurts, almost.

Yes, you should see some fluid at the base of the modulator

Not that hard at all. Here are some instructions that BSQ sent me:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by BSQ »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">You will need to disconnect the electric socket to the ABS module, then disconnect the brake lines that connect to it. After this has been done you should be able to unbolt the ABS module from the bracket. Once the ABS module is out of the car, you will be able to unbolt the ABS accumuluator and replace the O-ring. Reinstall the ABS module in the reverse order. You will then just need to bleed the brake lines and the ABS system.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I had the same exact problem. I found out I had no brake fluid in the ABS unit, so I refilled it. This didn't make the ABS light go away so I rode around like this for a while, until I reset my computer this weekend. Now the problem is completely gone.

for Spoon & r3v...
That whole ABS unit is behind the right headlight, alongside the air cleaner. The pressure accumulator is the vertical can (#2). It's bolted in from below, so that's why you gotta take stuff out to get at the bolts (#4).
Make sure you relieve the pressure first, before trying to take that apart.

You should probably bleed your ABS. I bet just running it didn't get all the air out.
