Default abs light

why has every honda/acura ive owned had the abs or the antilock light on even though my breaks appear and feel fine?

Check to see what code its throwing and see what the problem is. Look in the FAQs the 1st link will tell you what to do.

Exactly. In most cases that I've seen it's usually just a faulty sensor.

Mine also low fluid because it leaks.

most likely a sensor, you see many lights on hondas reason being is that its a fairly primative abs system and being older cars they just **** the bed over time i replaced my sensors and then gave up over time and yanked the light out so i dont have to look at it.... but just because the abs light is on and the abs isnt working has nothing to do with normal brakes it just means you dont have abs which is a completely separate system

Mine was on as well. Took me all of 3 5 mins to fix:

I pulled the bulb out.

No more ABS light!

I snapped a driveshaft at the track, and the outside half destroied the ABS Sensor. No biggy! They're easy to replace and no to expensive.

i just want the light to go away...whats the easiest way....and could it have anything to do with needing to bleed my breaks
