I would have said that the bushings in the lower control arm may have been bad but you said they looked fine. When I went to get an alignment done on my car, that is what was wrong. Although, I really couldn't tell from looking at it myself but when it was up the mechanic showed and so I replaced them then went back for the alignment.

the wheel is pushed back by 2 inches and you really can't find anything wrong? you must not be looking very hard. post up some pics with the wheel off so the control arms are visible.

You might need to replace more when you get a new one and start to bolt it up if it doesn't go.
