thanks for that link

What I agthered was the the 95 was the last year of the OBD-1 and then in 96 the OBD-2 was introduced to meet emissions.(less tunablity)

I had a 95 GSR and it got stolen, Right now I'm loooking at a 96 and was 100% if that was the only difference.

THANKS

no difference in any DC2 all the way up (mechanically) except obd1 (94-95), obd2 (96-98), obd2.2(99-01)

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 3.504 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">no difference in any DC2 all the way up (mechanically) except obd1 (94-95), obd2 (96-98), obd2.2(99-01)</TD></TR></TABLE>

94-95 had the oil cooler

94-95 OBD1
96-99 OBD2
00-01 OBD2a

As far as cosmetic changes the mirrors had lines added to them in 96. I'm sure you know about the 98+ body changes as well. It's easier to tune a OBD1 car, but you can convert your OBD2 to OBD 1 easily.

96 obd2 ECU's respond pretty well to mods. And pre 98 they didn't have that heavy 35 pound bar in the back. 98 Obd2 was revised and I believe restricted. I've owned a 95 ECU chipped and a stock 96 and the butt dyno and says they pull harder. And for a fact the car goes through more gas. Whenever I would take a long ride I would throw the 98 ECU in and she ran very efficiant.

1. Wheels
2. ECU
3 Oil cooler

But I believe that extra 35 pounds and the earlier ECU's is the reason they've clocked and dyno slightly better in the magazines.
