Hi,

I just bought the '94 rs and I noticed two ennoying things:

1. The ventilation fan (below the glove box) is making funny clicking noise. I took the fan out and found no sticks or leaves (that I assumed made the noise), its the motor that makes the noise.

2. The LED on the stereo receiver does not work. Haven't had time to play with it yet, but I would appreciate some comments on how to take it out easily. Do any of you know the specs on the receiver (I'm considering on getting an aftermarket or used integra cd receiver if its worth it)?

Are these problems known to occur on those cars?
Is there any easy way to fix those problems?

Sounds like you have a bad bearing in the fan. You could (perhaps) replace just the fan or whole vent motor...I don't see it costing too much. I don't think it's a documented problem with this car. It's 8 years old now and things just wear out. Personally I would replace the whole vent motor.

As far as the sterio. Just replace it with an aftermarket one. You will be way better off. Have fun!

 

normal wear and tear. get em replaced. get a new headunit... forget about the LED in the stock receiver.
