Default 92 Teg VTEC Problem

This is a Japanese import DA6 to the UK. B16A (same as GSR in USA).
The Vtec dosent always engage, I have tried the obvious, check oil level and changed it, tested the electrical connections all ok, pressure tested the engine oil pressure by manually activating the solenoid with a positive from the battery it was ok, now i have just changed the oil pressure switch, stiil no luck any other suggestions?? Could the ecu be screwed or shall i check something else.

If the engine isnt at normal operating temperature, VTEC will not engage. So if you are gettin in your car fisrt thing in the morning when its cold and hammering on it and VTEC doesnt engage, thats why. Other than that try checking and cleaning the filter on the VTEC solenoid?
