ok, my friend has a 92 teg LS and it died on him the other day. it started idleing really rough, sputtered and died. it was rumored to have a blown head gasket but i dont think it does. before it died the idle was jumping from around 1200 rpms to 1600 then slowly go back down and do it again and again. then it died and we havnt got it to run for more than 3 or 4 seconds before dieing again. please help!

 

check plugs/wires/cap/rotor....etc...etc.... my rex did the same and it ended up being the cap/rotor was burned up good......

 

check all the levels if u think it might be the head gasket. otherwise, if it was blown, it would still run. does it throw any codes?
