91 LS problem
I have a problem with my 91 acura integra LS. It won't start when i jump it it runs in park but when i put into drive it dies on me. A guy that worked on it before said it's my battery cables and when he cut the plastic around them they had that green crusty **** on the copper part. If anyone knows if this is the problem with it or know what could be wrong tell me what you think. You can see the car here http://www.sounddomain.com/id/lone_wolf211

well it could very well be your alternator.. i say this because i had my cousins 99 alero do that to us. we would jump it.. all would work good, but what's happening is, when you jump the car, its putting a small amount of current into the battery, just enough for you to start the car and it let her run for a quick min or two.. then right when that dies out. so does the spark to the spark plugs, and wallah.. dead car.
fixed that, started right up again..

Thanks for the reply. I thought it might be that but the time i jumped it before i was gonig to take it down to the guy to have him look at the cables my dad jumped it we drove it for 20 minutes and it did not die at all. then when we turned it of it would not start. heh heh

before you go changing the alternator... check to see if the battery is completely fine. it could have some bad cells. also check to see if all of your grounds are having a good connection.
i say alternator too... my corrado did the same thing... it would run for a while but it would all depend on how long you would charge the battery cause the car would draw all of it's power from the battery instead of the alternator supplying the charge...
take your alternator off and have it tested... Pep Boys has the machine to do it, just make sure the oerson testing it knows how to do it, cause oddly it is a little tricky with all the different adapter ends they have...
