i have a 1.8 non-vtev and i start the car and after about 3 min. i hear a click from the ecu and my check engine light comes an and the red light on the ecu comes on . when that happenes the car idles ok but wont rev past 3k. i have replaced the tps and its still doing it . if anybody has any ideas plz let me know

 

have you checked what codes it's giving you?

post the codes.....

if it wont rev past 3k, chances are it's in limp mode and thats basically keepin gyou from possibly jacking up the restof the engine.. it thinks something is wrong..

we need to know the codes before we can help you...

side note: How often do you litteraly beat the **** out of it? (often helpful in these situations)

get the codes, and if you dont know how to do that.. reply and we will try to tell you how to get the codes....
