91 integra idle problem???
i have a 91 da i bought from a friend and the rpm jumps pretty rapidly in between 1000-2000 rpm. I unplugged the iacv and it jumps slowly from the same to like 3k rpm. What should I do to try n fix this problem? I dont want to buy a new iacv until i find out that thats the problem with the car..its a b18a1 with a 99 ls head but has the original 91 tb and im. Please help thanks..
I did today but couldnt find anything for my application I might have missed that one but thanks for the help man Im goin to to do try that tomoro and will post if that works THANKS!
Well I'll give you the low down, if you did the cleaning properly and it didn't work, then open up the fitv and screw in the white plastic part tight til it stops, if this doesn't work it might need replacing, but ensure there is hot coolant flowing through the fitv, that's what makes the rpm's drop when you start a cold motor and it's at a constant 1500 rpm's and slowly decreasing. If this isn't the problem then get some starter fluid and spray around the gasket on the intake manifold and throttle body gasket, if the car revs up then you have a leak in your gasket and it needs replacing. Hope this works cuz this **** was a pain in the *** when I had it. LMK.
