91 Ignition problem? strange problem HELPZ!!
Well my friend sold me a 91 red integra for 500 bucks. Its got 160 KM, and its pretty ******* cherry. Only problem is a clicking noise from the passenger front wheel, and the fact that the car does not stay running!!!!
PROBLEM:When you switch the key to ACC, none of the acc work, when u start the car, its all gravy baby. You can hold the key between just before it activates the starter and the car drives fine.. but as soon as you let the key go and it goes to ACC the car just dies.
I actually drove it home like this, my hand still f#$% hurts! Good thing its auto or we woulda had to tow it lol.
Hopefully its just ignition, i just pulled it into my garage, gonna check fuses and pull out the ignition system after i munch some dinner, i thought i would post on here just to get some other opinions, ill probably have to grab one from PnP.

Well its the ignition for sure.
I was driving the car around a bunch all i gotta do is start the car, then for the key in acc u just gotta push it back a bit so the acc stay on. expletive, best 500 i have EVER spent, period. im gonna sell this car for 3000..
But i still need to do something about the ignition. Should I just pull it off take it apart and clean it all up? or is there switches or something I can just replace? Its gotta be just a switch or something

ANYONE?
maybe its cause im from canada LOL
I really dont want to get an ignition from the junkyard, because then i wont have a key anyways..
plus a new one will be expensive.
Having a different key for ignition and locks is a tough selling point

...and its the fact that its a 91 integra. I have heard a lot of people, and myself included, that have had major wiring problems only with the 91 integras. I do not know if it is due to the fact that the 91 is obd-0 and the 92 and 93 are obd-1 but the 92-93 integras barely ever have major electrical issues while the 91 integras constantly have them.
Cool thanks guys!!
im gonna head to the junk yard and find one.
hopefully that is it..
it seems like just a switch or something, because they acc dont work when the key is in ACC, but if u fiddle with it, it works...
