90 integra automatic shift problems
90 GS 1.8 AT - no mods, just a plain jane integra. When the vehicle is cold, it will not shift into 3rd gear - it only has 1 and 2. I did a fluid flush and refilled with honda ATF and problem still persists. If I warm up the car, set the Ebrake and put car in drive for 10 minutes - the car will shift just fine.
Is there an external solenoid or switch that could be causing this - or am i looking at a tranny replacement?

With Honda/Acura auto trannies 88-00, the best/cheapest/most effective solution to a serious problem like yours is to get a low mileage JDM replacement. You just can't trust anyone outside the dealership to repair these unique transmissions.

japanese domectic market
he is saying to buy a japanese replacement tranny because they tend to be very low mileage
but I would check the transmission solenoid first because they go out quite often on honda tranny's

Where would i find said solenoid? I am familiar with working on Domestic cars - these foreign cars confuse me sometimes
