Make sure the timing belt has been changed.

Other simple things that might not be nescesary but are easy and relatively cheap are: Flush fill radiator, (unless you are changing water pump) change gear oil, check or change spark plugs, check all belts and hoses.

If you need any help or cost estimates of any of the above I would be glad to tell you.

edit: make SURE the timing belt has been changed

Timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner & spring.
(if you skip this maint, your integra will die a rather quick & painfully expensive death.)
My timing belt popped at 95k and I was lucky I knew it would happen.
Also, valve cover gasket set & pcv grommet.

you should just ask him.

If it has not been changed then it is definitely about to break which means BYE BYE B18C1

edit: by the way if you do not know if the other stuff has been done then you should just do it as it is not very expensive and for peace of mind.

BTW: timing belt is about 50 dollars

what is the difficulty level of chaning the timing belt (out of 10)? I think i am mechanically inclined, but i have never done this before. I do have a helms manual, does anybody recommend against me going at it myself? Are there any seriouse hazards i may encounter? I did the 60k and brakes by myself btw.

C-speed has a tutorial on a timing belt change (http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/t...elt/tbelt.html). It doesn't sound too tough, just time consuming. You may also need an impact gun. HTH

easy...
you will need:
½" drive socket set.
10, 12, 14, 17 & 19mm sockets.
( 6 point type, else you will have a long fustrating day with 12 point sockets.)
a breaker bar wouldn't hurt...
12 & 14mm box wrench
either an impact wrench or a spool of heavy twine or string.
Hydraulic jack and stand. I wouldn't recommend doing this on the factory scissor jack.
***REMEMBER***
count all tools before starting the job
account for all tools when complete.
a friend of mine...
started and drove his nissan truck with an open end wrench in the tensioner assy.
started (and did not drive) his camaro with a socket wrench on the pulley bolt.
good luck
