I went to look at an '89 Integra LS tonight in a quest for a winter beater (and to impress all my friends by saying, "I own a 'Teg, y0!"
). Anyway, the car drove fine initially, but then it developed sort of a sputtering problem when pressing the throttle. It would lightly sputter for a few seconds (not like it was bucking violently) and then the power would come on fine. It didn't seem to be speed or rpm dependent, and it didn't matter how much I depressed the gas pedal. Oh and it's a 5 speed (it ain't a slipping clutch). The owner said the car hasn't been driven much for the past couple months.
Any ideas of what I might look for when going back to look at it in the daylight Saturday? It seems like a good deal otherwise, so I don't want to pass it up if it's something stupid.

TTT! (Maybe I should have titled this thread "How do I ho0k up my strobz" to get more responses). My gut feeling says it's something that can be cured with something simple like a new dist. cap and rotor.
