Default 87 Integra engine swap options

I just bought a rust free 87 Integra that threw a rod thru the engine block. Got it really cheap and want to replace the engine with something a little more powerful. Currently it has the brown top 1.6 and I can't find that engine anywhere, much less any info on what engines will fit into this old car. So far maybe a ZC will fit, B series, but the B is more than I want to spend. Point me in the right direction please. Just want the car running and driving for now. Thanks 👍🏻

B series vtec would be nice! even a B20 swap or LS swap would be great, but if you can find a spare block restore the original engine with the core block!

I'm in the midwest. I know B series would be great, but I'm looking for specific information on which engines and transmissions will fit, and with what aftermarket parts I'll need to make it happen. Anyone with that knowledge please help me out!

Easiest thing to do is look for a replacement block. D16A1, D16A3, D16A8, D16A9 or dual cam ZC. Any other swap will be a lot of money in parts and wiring fabrication.
