Default 5 lug conversion problems

I just did a 5 lug conversion on my 1998 integra GS and I have a soft pedal, do you guys have any idea's why? I got everything brand new from a guy that i know, so I know its not the calipars. Is the Master cylinder on my GS the same as the ITR, because i know the piston is bigger? Do I have to replace my proportioning valve?

hey bud.....

try bleeding the brake system again. get someone to help you and really pump up the brake pedal. get all the air out of the system. sometimes it takes quite abit of pumping and bleeding to get it all out.......just make sure you have enough brake fluid.......

yeah, it sounds like you have air in your system. bleed the entire brake system (all four wheels) and it helps A LOT to have your car running when bleeding the brakes. because i've tried countless times to bleed the brakes with the car off, and no matter how many times i bled the brakes, there was always air left in the system.

And don't forget to use a hammer and tap the calipers to knock the airbubbles loose.

a rubber mallet would be better to avoid damaging the calipers.

You have air in your master cylinder. Dont waste your time bleeding it from the bleeder valves on the caliper. Bleed the master cylinder.

alright the prop valve for an itr is way different. you want to get a 40/40 prop valve to replace your 20/20 and you also want to get a master cylinder that is bigger like a 15/16 or a 1". I did the same swap in my del sol and had the same problems.

Bleed your master cylinder first.

I have this conversion on my LS. And had the same prob. I had to bleed the brake about 3 times before my pedal felt good.
