What is the difference between stainles steel and ceramic, besides the obvious, what are the pros and cons of one material over the other? THX

their both steel one is stainless, the other is mild steel coated with ceramic paint to inhibit rust, but this never works, the ceramic paint is very porus and absorbs moisture like a whetstone. i would spend the money on some stainless steel headers, you won't have to worry about replacing them in five years. dc's crack a lot and i haven't heard much bad about comptech which is what i've been running, the web site modacar.com has tehm in stock for pretty cheap, check out their power packages while your at it you can get the header and exhaust combos for a good price through them, otherwise contact 'newgsrdriver', he hooked me up with my tig welded comptech. good luck.

there aren't alot of differences, but here you go.

ceramic: won't discolor, but won't last as long either. I have heard that they crack over time.

Stainless steel: lasts longer than ceramic, but the steel will discolor.

However, some people like the color that the steel turns too.

IMO, get the stainless steel. since the only con is the discoloration, and that is subject to opinion.

I would have to agree and say go with stainless. But i would stay away from DC Sports. A buddy of mine has there stainless header and the welds rusted. The pipes are fine but the welds are all shitty!!

One last thing the best of both worlds you can get stainless and get it coated. It will last and retain heat and not change color costs a bit more but might outlast the car.
