Re: 2001 Db8 itr build
Finally got around to doing some stuff yesterday, swapped the ds smashed up door with a red maroonish donor door and got my control arms and tie bar up. Doesn't sound like much but I'm glad to get these things done as I needed help from my bro Bc I was stuck lol A impact gun goes along way to getting things done!! Lol

Also I have had the gunmetal 15 itrs for a while. I test fitted it and honestly I like the 15's over the Jdm 16's soooo much more

Re: 2001 Db8 itr build
So today i found a local sedan part out and the guy had these mats for sale i offered him 20$ and he took it. Also got a usdm type r shifter console and armrest for 100$ Arm rest is kinda beat but my brother wanted it sooo badly that i just gave it to him and he was happy lol But anyone know what mats these are from? Never seen em before but they fit perfect in my sedan. I’ll clean em up soon and eventually touch up the red on the integra stitching

Re: 2001 Db8 itr build
i could be wrong on this, BUT i would think having a sway bar would actually be better but since my car didn’t come with one from the prior owner i had the tie bar so i used it. I thought the tie bar tightens up the suspension and i think the asr hangs too low for me. Plus i never liked that look myself I could be wrong on that completely but i had a 2000 Si and had the tie bar and lca only and i thought my car handled fine Idk honestly

Beaks bars are the ones that hang low. An ASR Subframe brace is just a plate that goes on top of the factory subframe that allows for mounting thicker sway bars than factory, without the risk of tearing the factory subframe. I could be wrong, but I don't see much point in the tie bar, especially without any sway bar, let alone even a factory sway bar.

Sooo what do you guys think about the 17 inch Tsx a specs on the Db8? Lol Just put em on to move the car around. I’m currently deceiding on redoing my itr wheels now or waiting until after i paint the car. (My wheels we’re bought redone horribly by their prior owner) Since car won’t be painted for prob another year minimal I’m thinking i should wait. Idk

Just got the ds mount on finally Picked up a itr db8 wing a few weeks ago Removed the stock gsr wing and much to my surprise there is a big hole of rust... more body work to be done.. alotta nuts and bolts are missing Bc of the previous owner took stuff off the car For no reason.. so More stuff i gotta track down and replace

Re: 2001 Db8 itr build
agreed. Luckily i mean it’s mainly on the quarter panel by the wheel well on the outer side and trunk, The trunk is just a matter of finding another one and the qp shouldn’t be too bad for a professional body guy. Along time ago i bought a db8 with no trunk floor basically lol well like 50% of the spare tire area was gone, i patched it but when i sold it to my boy he redid the whole trunk lol
