Default 1990 integra strut

So i did some research and found that the EF struts/coilovers will fit a DA. So i got these struts off a 91 civic hatch to go on my DA, and they are not fitting into the control arm on the front side of course. So my question is are they suppose to fit or do i need EF control arms or am i doing something wrong or are they not really off an EF? Thanks!

Oh you mean the 435 lbs difference? I'm not really asking about all that, and that doesn't really answer any of my questions at all thanks tho. Should the EF strut bottom slide right into the control arm or does it need to open up more.

they should, with no problem.

check to see if your control arm isn't bent, or the forks for the struts aren't bent, which if it is, is a cheap fix.

yeah i mean the forks dont seem bent at all but i put the it in the top but the round bottom wouldnt go in. So i took it out and tried still a no go. Measured em it seems to be ever so slightly larger diameter but the guy i got em from swears they are off a 91 hatch so idk. I might just put the springs and coil on the original struts.

Like the control arm shouldnt have to expand at all right?

I have both the components off the car trying to put them together and they still won't fit. Oh well I am done for the night anyways...maybe tomorrow they will magically fit.
