This has been a very long battle but it seems its best to let her go to a good home.I bought this shell with the intention of rebuilding it with my 3 year old son but hard times and more hard times are forcing me to part ways with her.shes soild no rust the radiator support was replaced by the previous owner. i didn't like the job so i bought a whole front clip to replace it.My intent was to make her as close to stock as possible. i have alot of parts that ive been collecting for the last 2 years that will also go with the car.the only two things im willing to separate is the swap and the shell.

Selling My ITR Racer
I bought my 2000 ITR (#00-1514) in the summer of 2007. My plan all along was to convert it to a racer. I have been road racing for years and thought this would be a great racer. And it is.
The previous owner had done tons of work on the suspension and also had a 600+ HP engine that he was drag racing. First thing I did was do a complete K20R swap to make it a reliable road racing car. All the work was done professionally by Intec Racing outside Seattle.
I also upgraded the suspension to a complete PIC (Power In Control) setup. All the suspension work was done at Pat's Autosport in Seattle. Gutted the remaining interior and added all the necessary pieces to have a great road racing car.
The car has been on track for the last 7 years and performed flawlessly. It was campaigned in the the Seattle area before I moved it to Las Vegas last year. For the past year it has been running at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch outside Las Vegas. I run it at least 2 days a week.
In the past 7 years there has not been a DNF or any mechanical trouble with the car. It is bullet proof.

Pros: All original car with matching Vin numbers engine and chassy. Original champion ship white color Type R. All modifications where done two Years ago including engine rebuilt I have receipts for all the work the car has receive. Runs and drives. Cold A/C, all power options work. Nothing broken inside. Front and rear seats are in Mint condition. Good project to be finish !
Cons: car does have some clear coat pealing on the hood and front fenders, rock chips on the front lower spoiler, hood. very very small rust bubble on driver side rear quarter. The car does still runs and drives but due to high compression pistons and boost car would need new piston rings or valve seals replace as it burns oil and smoke only when flooring it. Also has oil leak from the corner of the head looks like the head gasket would need replacement as well. Has EBC pads and im not happy with them would suggest replacing them after couple events at the track front brakes started to vibrate when slowing down from high speed.

Sadly I never thought I would sell this car, but we're having our second baby. I have a Lotus Elise, which is the only car I thought could replace it. Now that I've got a few other reliable daily drivers I can use the lotus strictly as a track toy.
Unfortunately because of this the R doesn't get driven much. It is winterized and I start it up and drive it around every few weeks. I think it would be better for someone else to enjoy it than for it to just hang out while I pay insurance on it, and then drive it a few weeks in the summer. This car has been meticulously cared for: Oil changes (Mobil 1/Motul), tranny fluid changes (honda MTF) and valve lash all done way before required intervals. Current mileage is ~58K. I have owned this car since basically new: 29 actual miles (not 29k.)
Last year I installed factory ITR specific AC. This may be one of the last kits available (I was told it was discontinued when I ordered mine) and was not available on 97's. So if you're after a super rare 97 and want AC, this may be the ticket aside from piecing used parts together.
At the same time I completed the timing belt and water pump service. This is all less than 500 miles ago.
I also picked up a set of new Eibach Multi Pro R2 coilovers. These really smoothed out the ride without losing the quick handling of the koni/GC setup.
Car, sits on OE wheels now with new Falken Ziexs, but I still have the Kosei K1s (unmounted) and black ATS complites on some very old Azenis. I still have all the interior parts bagged up in storage so they are like new. Rear seats have never been sat in. The leather wrapped shift *** and serialized arm rest have been stored separate from the car and are still in new condition. Also the original window sticker I had laminated and have kept in a frame.

The exterior has one minor ding on the front bumper, one scrape on the rear bumper. These are from the car being in storage and items rubbing on it. The front lip has a minor scrape on one corner. Other than that the paint is flawless.
I don't have a real good idea of what market value is right now. Compared to other ITRs up for sale right now and based on the mileage, condition of this car, and rarity of a 97 I'm asking for 16.5K. I'm willing to part the new eibach coil overs to reduce price.

Sadly I never thought I would sell this car, but we're having our second baby. I have a Lotus Elise, which is the only car I thought could replace it. Now that I've got a few other reliable daily drivers I can use the lotus strictly as a track toy.
Unfortunately because of this the R doesn't get driven much. It is winterized and I start it up and drive it around every few weeks. I think it would be better for someone else to enjoy it than for it to just hang out while I pay insurance on it, and then drive it a few weeks in the summer. This car has been meticulously cared for: Oil changes (Mobil 1/Motul), tranny fluid changes (honda MTF) and valve lash all done way before required intervals. Current mileage is ~58K. I have owned this car since basically new: 29 actual miles (not 29k.)
Last year I installed factory ITR specific AC. This may be one of the last kits available (I was told it was discontinued when I ordered mine) and was not available on 97's. So if you're after a super rare 97 and want AC, this may be the ticket aside from piecing used parts together.
At the same time I completed the timing belt and water pump service. This is all less than 500 miles ago.
I also picked up a set of new Eibach Multi Pro R2 coilovers. These really smoothed out the ride without losing the quick handling of the koni/GC setup.
Car, sits on OE wheels now with new Falken Ziexs, but I still have the Kosei K1s (unmounted) and black ATS complites on some very old Azenis. I still have all the interior parts bagged up in storage so they are like new. Rear seats have never been sat in. The leather wrapped shift *** and serialized arm rest have been stored separate from the car and are still in new condition. Also the original window sticker I had laminated and have kept in a frame.

At 95K Miles Front bumber, hood and rear bumber were professionally painted with OEM Type R Flamenco Black (due to slight oxidation from age and sun). 3M Clear Bra was installed 2 weeks after paint. 3M Limo Tint on driver/passengers side and rear window. Front windshield replaced (due to chips and cracks) front windshield was tinted entirely with 3M Crystalline all Professionally Installed. New OEM Acura Type R decals (for USDM Flamenco Black model) New OEM Acura USDM Type R emblem replaced on hood (due to slight oxidation from age and sun). Professionally detailed with Glare Polish.
At 100k Miles had an aftermarket stereo professionally installed. Alpine head unit, MB Quart tweeters and 6.5 Mids, JL audio 8" woofer, JL Audio 3-channel amp, JL Audio Wiring, Dynomat doors/trunk and Kinetic Battery. Sub and Amp are installed stealth, cant see them and lose no trunk space.
Have orginal window sticker, OEM book and Keys from its purchase in 2000.

This cars history:
I purchased this car from the original owner who was a 45 yr old man. the car needed some work and maintenance and I have put a lot of time and money into this car! This car was locally owned and garage kept. The paint shines great! Runs and drives very good. It does have 174k so its not going to be perfect. I would say this car is in above average condition for its year and mileage. There is no major damage or rust anywhere on it. The car was in a minor accident in a parking lot and cracked the original rear bumper cover. It has been replaced with a aftermarket cover and painted the factory color and looks fine but I also will give the original rear bumper for free to the buyer if they wish. Other then the rear bumper cover, this is a matching vin number car. All doors, fenders, engine, transmission, ect are all matching vins. Clean and clear title in hand!! The only mods to the car is a excedy stage 1 clutch and a DC sport header.
