Yeah, I did. But I don't care because I have some minty tails that will replace the ones on her now :D

And I'm sticking with the OEM color: Samba Green.

Gotta love those budget finds huh? Last year I bought an old VW for 475 bucks but ended up trading it for a 1996 Camry...The VW was trash, but the Camry is still as good as the day I bought it, and that is with a year of delivering food!!!

Pictarz! Pictarz! Gotta love more pictarz! (sung to the tune of Friday :D).

Before:

After: Oh SNAP!

I layed another coat of pink stuff on but didn't mix it quite hot enough, so it took longer to dry and I wasn't able to sand anymore I shall work on it more tomorrow!

So far, I'm EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMLY pleased with how the evil panel is turning out.

Looking good. It looks like the body lines aren't lining up with the door though. Is that true or just the camera?

Can't wait to see it painted

Whew, lots of work this weekend. Lets get to it!

See, I love you guys :D Well, not really "love", but I hope you don't fall off a cliff and get impale by a rabid porcupine.

So remember last wednesday I said my layer on filler wasnt mixed correctly? Well it never dried fully. So, I was left no choice but to grind it off. After doing that, of course I had nicked my previous layer of filler so I just started sanding: And thats exactly what I needed to do. I was able to actually have LESS filler but get it smooth :D

Not bad, not bad.

Ta daaa! Any spots that are red are low. Any spots that are filler color are smooth

So much work

Dune buggy! And in the background is soon to be turbo'd Ford ranger :p

I have to have my door open when I'm sanding around the gas door

Can't accuse me of not working

Final layer of the day on Friday.

ON to Sundays work!

Ta daa! The red stuff is final filler putty :D

How long has this been there? I have no idea.

She sneezed and her nose fell off D:

On the fly phtotoshop!

Le sigh

Epic runk prop FTW!

And some final pics for the day.

Mah wifes XB lurking in the background :p

Before:

After:

Man, thats a lotta work there guys. BUT, I'm making progress!!

3/4 of the car has been resanded and is ready for stage 2 sanding, which is 400 grit. I'm gonna work on her some more Wednesday and Friday. Depending on how well things go, its very possible that I might start masking Jelly off for paint this Sunday. I'm not sure. I mean, I still have to do the door jambs, pull the targa weatherstripping along with various other things.

Stil a lot of work to go, but I'm on the downhill now :D

So yeah, these guys took a break at the Sonic in Perry. Here are pictures of said awesomeness. Pics are in no particular order.

WHos dat in teh background? Why my turbocharged Integra of course!

And the money shot of all money shots (for me anyway).

-------------------------
Yeah, I'm parked beside a Bugatti and a McLaren. Yeah, its awesome. Its ok to feel jealous, I won't mind :D

I went to another lil car meet on Saturday (these pics were taken on Friday). Nobody really cared about my car (Integra), sadly. Except for the few people I"m friends with that were there. Just a bunch of old guys who see an import and immediately dismiss it. Which, is a shame because I had more work done to my car than almost everything there AND I was the only forced induction car that showed up. In fact, at the moment, I have the only vehicle in my town that has an after market forced induction system. Everything else is factory FI (Neon/Cobalt, etc).

Even afterwards, when I left I did a sick burnout, a good 60-70 feet (Aeris must have been feelin frisky!) or so and my friend said the guys were all "Meh" about it.

Fool, I'd like to see your pile of domestic crap do that. In fact, there was only 1 other vehicle there that could, out of maybe 20?

Ha, $20.00? I'd probably have to plop down a few thousand to do it. Plus, all of the guys that I saw with their cars looked like elitist douchebags and not cool at all, sadly.

Basically, the average Honda enthusiast was more of a "car guy" than any of these DB's, which is sad to say. But thats my opinion on the matter so there

Super nice (expensive) cars don't necessarily mean they come with nice owners. Too bad, doesn't have to be that way.

A lot of down to earth car people out there still. I run into a few once in a while.

Interesting thread! About 3 years and still working on your del Sol. Stick-to-it-tive-ness plus! Keep going. Just don't forget that we want to see the final "pictarz"!

After seeing a few of those chrome painted exotics in your pictures, all I can say is how about... Chrome Samba! But not if it turns you into one of those elitists!

You like my word, "pic-tarz", Ehh? 15 internets for you good sir!! :D

Dude, that chrome... No, no it was not chrome. ITS A FREAKING STICKER.
Yes. Mull on that a moment.

I can understand the advertising on the exotics. Its a shame, but I can accept it because it pays money.

But that "chrome", I checked it out. It was flat out a sticker. I looked at how it wrinkled on some of the creases by the tail lights: I even touched it and was scolded by my friend for touching the car.

I'm say, "Dude, its a freaking sticker."

He looked closer and was dumbfounded and dismayed as much as I was. Then again, that guy had freaking Hemorrhoid cream on his dash so, I question his judgement to begin with. BUT, he had a mid 20's girl with him AND was driving an exotic sports car soooooooooooo... Hes doin better than me I guess.

Then again, I have a nice "sports" car and an amazing wife who loves me because I'm me (and not for my car/money) with no need for hemmoroid cream so, take that for what its worth

Some are, yes. I would consider my in-laws pretty affluent: They certainly have more money than I do and nicer stuff than I have ever had. But they are by far (especially father in law) the most generous, kind people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And they are my family! Epic win on my part.

But, by and large, rich people are jerks.
----------------------------------------------

You guys just get lots of pictars goodies today! Although, these aren't car pics.

My other love is drumming and music. I've been slowly changing my hobby from cars to drumming and recently I have revamped my setup. Heres the evolution.

Upgraded bass pedals to Iron Cobras

Then changed to this...

Played like this for a lil bit.

I rocked this for a long time.

Added a lil more.

Last week, I tried to move my set and it sorta fell apart. So I decided to revamp my setup.
Yeah, it was pretty messy.

Bought some pipe, measured and cut = making of a new drum rack.

Initial setup. It didn't feel comfortable and wasnt very stable. Plus, I wanted a setup more like my favorite drummer, Mike Wengren from Disturbed.

Movin it around to make changes.

Final setup, or at least how it is currently.

In looking back at these pictures, they really kinda represent my skill level. As my drumming has improved, I've felt the need to improve my set.

My goal, is to have a setup like this. Though, I don't need all the cymbals, but I want the dual bass drums.

I need new cymbals (mine are dead and sound terrible)
Two new heads for the smaller toms.
Sell my Iron Cobras and buy two single pedals (I want Tama Speed Cobras/longboards)
Another 22" Bass drum.

Then I'll have a "true biz" metal setup! (A lil sign language term for ya!)

Enj0y!

**Edit** I almost forgot! I got to jam with the band that played at my sisters graduation. It.Was.Awesome! I couldnt kill it too much because dude only had one bass pedal and that pretty much hamstrung me because I cant really play with one pedal (I break one foot beats into both feet with weird patterns to keep things interesting).

:D I have video too that I need to upload.

That stripper Ferrari looked fun, but the Audi with the 6.6 shaker on the rear glass made throw up a little bit.... Regardless, thanks for sharing.

Hey that's a pic of my Bugatti , I had my worker washing it that day, so that's what he does when he says he's pumping gas on it.
