Moar sanding! Actually, moar filler

Now its time for more sanding.

Getting better!

TIme to work on other dents...

A couple onthe hood.

I thought this to be lame: This was an unopened can and look how much was in it. BS I say.

So another coat on the bad quarter panel. It looks so much better than it did its not even funny.

A lil filler puttty

Its gettingbetter...

So yeah, have to have my door open to do some sanding onthe quarter panel I would like to add to the more eagle eyed readers that those magazines are form my grandma to my wife... just FYI xD

Annnnnnnnnnddd... Thats where I am. I'll be out of pocket most of the day tomorrow. I'll be able to hit it more onSunday afternoon.

Until next time...

Gah! I forgot to take moar pictures!

I suppose not much to show though. The Targa and rear bumper is now completely sanded. So now, I have to:

- Remove antennae
- Remove side mirrors
- Fix a couple of extra dents I found on passenger side
- Fix dents on driver side fender (there are several).
- Continue working on quarter panel
- Hit lots of lil spots that Im sure I missed, fine tune the first stage of sanding.

After thats done (well, everything but the quarter panel) I will start stage 2 of sanding, which will be going to like a 220 grit and hand sand the whole car.

Then I'll go to a 4xx grit wet sand and do the car again. By the time I have that done, hopefully I will have the quarter panel finished. I think I missed my window of opportunity for painting, as I live in Florida and we are finally starting to get winter here.

So I might not be able to paint until March when it starts to warm back up :S But, we will see. The longer I have to wait, the better off the paint job will be and the better my quarter panel will look!

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... Yep, thats where I am

I might snap a pic or 2 at lunch time, we will see

Damn you do good work. But I don't like you!!! I felt I got a good deal on my all original vx hatch with passenger rear quarter damaged for a g. I never find the ubber good deals! lol I drove it for a year with zero problems. Thankfully the dizzy crapped on me and gave me the excuse to tell the wife it was time for my GSR motor swap rather putting more money into a motor with almost 300k miles.

Where in Florida are you?

I used my lunch break to take pictures for you guys... You should feel loved!

So, there ya go. I have to say, there is something about the way shes looking right now... I like it! Shes gonna be hawt when I'm done though.

And, I think I'm not going to use the wing. I just cant decide if I want it or not so I figure since I can't decide, that must mean I don't really want it. So, she will stay wingless (unless I decide to put a wing on there anyway )

Cool looking Del Sol. Great progress man. I give you an imaginary high five for doing the work yourself. May I ask what brand rims do you currently have on the Sol?

Well not much to update, sadly. I'm gonna be on a trip soon so I won't be getting much work done for a lil while. But here's some random pics (and a few of Jellybean) to hold you over.

First off, Jelly his 255,555 miles this week I can't wait till its 266,666 :D No, I'm not a Satanist (very far from it) but I get a kick out of people freaking out over 666. So, if I can, I'll get $6.66, $9.99 or $16.66 worth of gas :D

My sisters Hedgehog, "Chog". No, he doesn't have rabies (even though he his foaming at the mouth). This is a trait they have. See, whenever they find a smell they really like, they start foaming at the mouth, convulse and wipe it on themselves. It's insane and creepy.

I did do a lil work on Jelly, but not much. I pulled teh doorpanel to get to the passenger mirror so I could remove it.

Ta Daa!

I forgot to take pics of what I sanded so you'll have to take my work that I sanded on her a lil bit

My mom had a mp3 player in her previous car but pulled it out when she sold it. I decided to snag it so I could have uber mp3 goodness in Jelly. When I yanked the console out, I found this xD

My sisters room and all of her animals... Oh and the wire harness for the cd player I had to work on.

Finished harness by a sleeping "Dori".

And another pic of the finished harness on the back of my dads doberman, "Ninja"/

I like having the harness longer, BTW, thus why theres a lot to it.

Now here is somerthing you might not have seen before ( I knwo I hadn't) a tire change with no tire changing machine. My dad had to do it on his truck. here are teh pics.

Putting the new tire on...

Ta daaa!

My dad ran out of gas in his dune buggy the day before, so I had to take him to it. Ninja loves riding in anything and dad wanted to take him. There wasn't enough room...

I'm a big time gamer so I play a lot. Well my lil birdie, Goblette, has chosen me to be her mate or head of her flock or whatever (like a dog having one person as their Master). SO it means that she HAS to be with me at all times. Its very cute but kinda annoying whenever I'm gaming and she wants to be with me.

So, more often than not, this is how I have to game: With a Parrot on my hand And I can still go positive on my KD

Isn't she cute?

I needed to change the oil on my wifes Scion XB and I figured "Hey, I"ll change the spark plugs: Its been a long time". Yeah, it had been too long.
The gap was .064 when it should be .032 D:

While I was at the shop, my dad dropped his drink in such a fashion that the straw protruded the cup. What are the odds?!

Heres something that'll be interesting: My dad bought a complete engine out of a 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. 2.3lts, 4cyl, 190hp, 240lbs tq. Its going in a lil Ford Ranger He wants to spray it with a 50 shot or so too I dunno if thatll happen, but it will end up in a lil truck. Should be a fun lil ride!
We pulled the oil pan to check out the bearings in it (he was told it had around 80k) and sure enough, the bottom end was in good shape! Nice and clean inside.

And finally....

MY passenger door handle was basically broken in Jelly (stupid cheap plastic). Unfortunately, they are like $40+ per handle. Sooooooooooooo, being lazy and bored/poor I decided to try and fix it. I haven't re installed it yet, but hey, maybe it'll hold for a lil while!

So, thats it for now guys. I doubt I'll get to work on Jelly for the next 2 weeks but I'll update when I do

That's an interesting break, I usually snap mine off at the handle. No amount of glue/reinforcement helps on the handle.

Also, you could probably pick up a handle off eBay for under $40. My problem is 96-97s use black, not gray, handles and it seems like everyone sells 93-95 parts on eBay. (lurking in a box in my storage room and not seen for years is a set of gray handles for just that reason)

Im not dead! I've just been busy guys, sorry. Got back from a sweet 11 day vacation: 7 day cruise + a few extra days in Puerto Rico Pictarz time!

From teh fort in San Juan"

Rain Forest!

Volcano!

Volcanic water! Very sulfury.

In a waterfall!

Snail!

So this is interesting. When we gt back from the cruise, we stayed in a Howard Johnsons... That was in the 4th floor of a working Hospital. I kid you not. It was awesome xD

You know that I cant do anything without hurting myself. My mother in law..
"Oh no! I think I have some wipes in my bag."
Me - "Oh please, I don't need any damn wipes. I'll clean it later."

Notice the guy in the tower? Thats in a Walmart parking lot in San Juan. Interesting.

This was the style in Peurto Rico. Raked in the front, stock height in the back. This particular creation was boosted!

Fort!

Epic...

:D I most certianly didnt do this...

From the Bacardi plant :D

Teh cruise ships...

Labtop!

This was awesome: Dude who worked on the Yodo in the original Star Wars had a shop in St. Maarten. Very cool.

An original Stormtrooper suit!

Now this is the most awesome thing... Airplane Beach in "Maho Beach". The planes land right over your head.

This is somethin we dont have here in the states.. A celica GT-Four. Nifty!

I like it!

Artsy :p

Alcohol... On a cruise ship? Why yes, we got it on

Prettah!

Cruise ship from 35k feet.

---------------------------

So yeah, we had a good time

Now for car stuff. So I pulled Aeris down again, as it wasnt boosting, remember? Well I figured out what was wrong: On the 4 bolt flange, only 2 bolts were in xD Yeah, sometimes I fail as a mechanic. **Note** My Integra wasnt boosting and I didnt know why. I finally tore it down to investigate.

Gee, I wonder why it wasnt boosting?

So, I have to buy a new gasket. But nobody intown had one so I'd have to order it. I've complained before about my downpipe and exhaust, as well as my manifold. So, I said screw it and I'm buying a new downpipe..

... a new manifold...

... exhaust pipe!

I'm just gonna have it dump under the car for now. I'll add to it later on.

Now, I'm gonna see about having the manifold ceramic coated so it wont rust. Depend on price, I'll call about it on Monday. Now I know the manifold isnt the best, but I'm on a budget and it'll just have to do. I'm gonna take a dremel to it, since its cast, and get rid of the castings and open up the ports some. I'm also going to install studs instead of bolts so I can bolt the turbo on a lil more securely

SO, 3" downpipe and exhaust... Maybe I'll pick up a lil horsepower? One can only hope.
------------------------------

Obviously, this is for my GSR, not for Jellybean. I'm at the point where I need to take her down so I can finish sanding it. But I need to get my GSR back on the road soooo, yep. Work work work.

Updates soon!
