I have to give you props man, I love the work you do, and the time and effort you put into your cars. I also like your integra, cant wait to see more updates! As for the body work, take your time, it will come out great!

First off, I just want to say you're doing really good by this car, and it looks a lot better already! Keep up the good work!

I say no spoiler, looks cleaner without. It has a tint of rice with the spoiler.

Spoiler is teh OEM's. I like OEM stuff, I have one on my 4 dr Integra. To me, it thins out the rear of the car (regarding the Integra) but on the del Sol, I dunno. I'm undecided.

I need a fender BTW, driver side. If you guys have one I needs it.

if you were up in jersey i'd recommend one from a friend but, shipping down there would be pricey. you might as well get it from FL.

And yea the spoiler on any car for me is "hmmmm idk bout that"

Just a heads up, but I started on the body work on Jellybean :O

Also trying to source out misc parts. Think I have corner lights/center vent/antennae sourced out.

Shes coming together!

Man, lemme tell ya.. DO NOT have multiple car projects AND try to learn a new language. it's very tiring :S

Oh boy... Its possible I have some bad news....

I might be selling Jellybean D: It might be a false alarm, but if this other guy still has the civic hes selling, it won't bode well for Jelly. Details later as I get em :S

Indeed I did! She has served me very, very well. Alas... all good things must come to an end.
------------------------------

I just got off the phone with Ali, who owns the civic below.

Its a 1999 Civic (dont knwo if its a DX/LX/EX) but it has 140k miles and an auto tranny. Unlike Jellybean, it doesn't have a good side/bad side: The whole ca is in great shape, inside and out. The catch?

The trans is not working. It could be a solenoid or it could be the whole tranny needs replaced. I wont know until later.

He was asking $1400 but was talked down to $1k. I'm going to look at the car tonight and if its in as good of shape as my bro says it is (who took this picture) I shall buys it. The solenoid is around $150.00. If that doesn't fix it, it needs a tranny. Just a quick search on ebay and there is one with 117k miles for $475.00 shipped.

Sadly, I would sell jellybean to my Bro (who is on H-T and who would love her/take care of her) for $600.00 to offset the cost of the new civic. Plus while my wife is awesome, it has already been stated in my marriage that I can't have 3 cars (but I can own two!!). I can't sell my turbo Integra, I have too much time/love/blood in that car to part with (right now anyway).

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, yeah, thats whats happening. Know that I wasnt looking to sell Jelly or buy another car, this just kinda popped up and meshes well with my plans. I REALLY want to be done with cars and focus on my drumming... Which, BTW, if anybody wants to buy my Iron Cobra doubel bass pedals, hit me up. I want to go with a true double bass setup(two bass drums, two single pedals).

I shall update later as I know more..

For what its worth, Jelly wouldn't go away until the new civic was up and running. But I trust my bros judgment implicitly so if he says its in awesome shape, then it is and I will be buying this car tonight **Edit** and changing out the wheels instantly because those hubcaps are so gay...

I would put a new tranny in it anyways because the first thing i would do to that civic is convert it to manual transmission

I have a good condition driver side fender and spoiler for Jellybean. Both are original Samba Green so no painting required.

Ehh, thats a lot of work. You guys don't understand... I all but want out of the car game. It's been my sole focus for almost 15 years and been in my life well.. My whole life.

One of my first memories is of my dad doing burnouts with me in his 396 Chevelle (look it up if you don't know, fun cars). I had a 100 shot of nitrous on my truck when I was in HIGH SCHOOL. I would do burnouts across the parking lot xD

I dunno how many times I should be dead from almost wrecking my 5.0 mustang. That thing was a beast and was dangerous when the roads were wet.

I want a lil car I can just drive and drive and drive.. Which I have with Jellybean, but she looks bad and requires a lot of work to make her look good. Which I intended to do but.. Well as with everything in life, things can change quickly.

There are other factors, like it would be nice to have something with a lil more room than jelly, since my wife and I are traveling more.

BUT, we shall see. I still I have to get up there and look at it and make sure, but as it sits right now... The shell is pretty much worth 1k as it sits. If I really wanted to, I could pull the engine/tranny out of Jellybean and stick it in that and be good to go.

But thats not happening I want Jelly to stay on the road.

And just a heads up, no go on that civic. It had "**** you" keyed in the side of it that broke the deal.
Oh well, I shall continue on with my plans for jelly

I just read your entire thread and you're really going to give up on the car because of paint damage, it sounds like you aren't ready to part with the sol lol. Keep up the good werk tho I am in for updates

Just a tip, I didn't read the entire thread, but that dent in the driver side rear that you hammered out could use some metal shrinking. Google (or youtube) a shrinking disk. You put it on your angle grinder, "grind" the metal and pour water on it. The rapid heating and cooling levels out high spots, such as you have from your hammering. Just thought I'd let you know about that.

Yeah, Jellys not going anywhere for the time being. Tht civic I looked at: great deal but damnit, it had "**** You" keyed into the passenger side!!!

For those that don't remember/know, Jellybean has "****ing *****" and "*****" on the hood and "Bitch" and "****" keyed onto the trunk (though that has been sanded away now!
So, I passed on the car as I really dont want to buy another car just to do more bodywork

I have other reasons as to why getting rid of Jelly would be beneficial to me, but my wife and I discussed it and we can live with jelly for the time being. It'll just require car swapping and whatnot. We shall see.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, kaboom954 PM me about that fender!!
