Default oxygen sensor question

Hey guys, I need to change the o2 sensors on my 96 4cyl accord. I got them off ebay, but I don't know if they will work or not. All the pics of oxygen sensors I've seen have the end that screws into the exhaust piping and the other end that has a plug on it. Well on the ones I got don't have that plug. They just have the metal end that turns into 4 separate wires. In other words there are 4 wires where I think the plug should be. It seems these are some sort of universal fit? Can these be used on my car? If anyone has any insight, please help!

Sounds to me you bought the cheap kind, are you in financial distress that you couldn't buy a quality part?, on top of that you aren't sure if the sensor is compliant with your make and model.

in any case here's my advice:
You are supposed to cut and re-use the connector in your old o2 sensor (currently on your vehicle) and make sure to match the wires, personally I would never buy a universal o2 sensor they are affordable enough that I can purchase what my vehicle recommends.

Any reason why you are changing the O2 sensor? Being a '96 its OBDII and will have a secondary after catalyst sensor, are you sure you are replacing the correct one?

Stick with Denso, Delco/Delphi or NTK brand sensors. Bosch sensors blow ***.

As said by kidcool1977 the cheap beer can shaped sensors are worthless, they are lazy and will drag down your performance.

Generic sensor, some Bosch sensors look like this as well.

Bosch sensor.

Denso, Delco/Delphi, NTK look like this

The larger beer can units take forever to heat up and are prone to cooling off. The Denso style is OEM and ideal.

I would also like to add that if you go to autozone, you can get a universal denso (OEM) sensor for $65 vs I think around $100-$120 for one with the connector.
