You can use several things.

- Brake cleaner From Advance Auto This works REALLY well and dries super fast.

- Engine Degreaser Advance Auto

- Soapy Water (just use dish washing stuff).

- And you can use any of the above in conjunction with a pressure washer or you can go to a car wash (non automated) and use the sprayer there. Only problem is water water is bring sprayed all over your engine and it's really hot, thats never a good idea. And two, water can get into electrical components.

Some people will say never do it.. Some (like me) say just be careful. I've done that for years and never had a problem. Your call (and risk). Heck, first time I cleaned Jellys' bay I used the pressure washer at a car wash.

When I cleaned Jellybean though in the pics I posted, I just used a rag with dishwaser liquid. :]

u can also use engine degreser or simple green n pressure wash it at a car wash...just dont wet the distributor, alarm siren, alternator and any ghetto rigs u got under the hood...after turn on engine n let it dry for 2-3 mins and spray tire shine all over the engine bay n shut the hood for 3-5 mins....and it will be hella shiny....

-simple green or any degreaser
-tire shine spray

Only problem with tire shine is it collects dust like crazy and you're engine ends up looking worse than if you had never used tire shine at all.

I mean, if you're gonna be spraying down the engine alot, then go for it. Or if you want a super shiny bay.. Yeah, tire shine does look awesome. It just ends up making stuff grimy in the long run though, if you don't keep it up.

It's a lil trick used car lots use... They pressure wash the bay then spray tire shine to make the engine look all pretty.

Well, sad news... My parts didn't fix my AC. It doing the same thing it did before, which is blow freon out the pressure release valve.

So, I have to get another compressor Fail.

I also got a migraine while working on Jellybean (which is just so much fun.) After I got disgusted and dejected from still not having AC, I went to work on my Integra and slit my wrist on a wrench (I went down the street, not across the road!). Which hurt.

But it should leave a pretty cool scar :]

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to working on her.. Just gotta get my Integra up N running first. Then I can focus on Jellybean.

Oh, that reminds me.. Check this out...

This is NOT my Jellybean

Hows that for clean? 93 Si. Exact same as mine... Except he paid right at $6,000 for it. I told him I would have sold him my car for $3k, he could spent $1,000 on it to fix her up and he still woudl have been cheaper than doin what he did.

Craaaaaaaaaaaaazy.

Well, since you haven't fixed your AC yet, there's still time to do a cabin filter retrofit to prevent all that crud from collecting in your evaporator. My DIY on this is here.

Pictures are from a 92-95 Civic, but the procedure on a del Sol is the same.

Well, an interesting lil update on my car.

So I was driving down a dirt road, going a lil too fast and I hit a pot-hole. My car started making a nice buzzing sound. I trouble shoot the problem to the exhaust.

I bottomed out Jellybean and pulled broke the exhaust where it goes into the muffler!

It make the most horrid sound from idle to 2,000 RPM. Ugh, I hated it.

But now the exhaust just seems to have broken off (at the muffler) so now Jellybeans semi open exhaust and sounds... GREAT!! Nice, deep tone. I like it!

So, Jelly received an impromptu exhaust upgrade!

**Edit** My muffler fell off as I was leaving work today! lulz

Lol same thing happened to my SOL it broke right off behind the resonator, so I ran an open reso for 2 months.

But now I have a stealth exaust , seems like more power now than just an open resonator, could be my imagination?

Honda's are designed to have back pressure, i am not at all surprised you are making more power now

Just old I guess. Who knows how long that muffler has been on there. I wacked it pretty good when I bottomed it out, so even a good weld may have broken.

I'm glad it didn't come off as I was driving down the road.. That would have been VERY noisy (possibly dangerous if the rubber hangers broke.)

If you notice all but the one picture, you can see where the muffler has stuck and was dragged behind the car for a few feet

hey what springs did you use?

I'm lowering my sol and can't decide on what springs to get.

Also what size tires/rims?

I;m going for performance more than looks, I think I'll go 15' max
