In my experience, it's pretty rare for a brake booster to fail. And usually the only reason they do is if the master cylinder is leaking into it. If you pump the brake pedal with the engine off, hold pressure while starting, then the pedal falls slightly when the engine is started, the brake booster is working.

Car looks great! I'm removing the purple tint in my EG. I had to pull the front windows to get it all... definitely work!
Looking forward to more updates!

Well, I know the master cylinder is leaking some, the paint has been eaten off the brake booster.

I'll check that out and see whats up. I'd rather replace the master cylinder than the brake booster. I've done that before and I dislike that job immensely.

I'm having a similer issue w/my 94 del sol vtec. My brakes stop the car just fine, but as you sit at the light, the pedal falls to the floor. If I pullmy foot from the pedal, and then mash the pedal again, it holds pressure for a min, then falls to the floor again.
I got a junkyard 1" Teg mc/bb combo that I WAS planning to use, but now I know why the paint is peeling off of the bb. Does this mean that the mc is no good if it was leaking down the front of the bb? Is the gasket between them just bad and need replaced?
Guess I could go ahead and swap out everything, and if it's bad, just order a bb delete kit like I thought about doing anyway!!

This is a great build!! Keepup the great work!!

I did that and the pedal did fall slightly, but I havn't lost any fluid since I put some in.

It's getting dangerous, so I've gotta do somethin soon. I"ll work on it tomorrow, I hope

Well, I did some work this weekend on Jelly! Figured out that indeed, my master cylinder is bad, not the booster. So I've gotta get me one of them.

So, not being able to work on that, I decided that I'd give tinting another try. So, I purchased a few supplies along with some tint and decided to give it a go.

How'd I do?

Well I didnt take any pictures, but the first window I did (drivers side), I failed. I didnt pay attention to which side was sticky and put the tint on wrong

What a n00b.

Tried to put it on the passenger side but it got wrinkled so I trashed it.

2nd time, I got it pretty much right. Unfortunately, some friends came over and was holding the tint while I was cutting it and he moved it, making me cut the tint short Sucks.

I only had enough tint to do the passenger side, but here it is.

It's not perfect and it's more than likely not final.. I"ll remove it and do it again until I get it right!

The same friends who came over also dropped off an Ebay 5th Gen lip. Sooo, I stuck it on. Fit like crap, man Ebay stuff sucks. it was too small so I had to cut it. You can see in the pics.

And just another picture.

Jellybeans Jekyl side is really ugly :S

About 1/2" short. Oh well, it was free and it gets the job done. Not like the car is in such awesome shape anyway!

Overall, I'm happy with it. It was free and it looks a lil better

Moar stuff later!

Enj0y!

Cool beans!
GL on the master cylinder. I hate replacing those... almost always end up with brake fluid everywhere.

A lil off topic, but I built this box for a customer. First time I had ever built a toolbox like this before. It came out awesome!!!!

If I ever build another, it'll be better. This one may leak but it's not a big concern so no worries.

Nice N flush

Yay for me!

Your Del Sol has really become a nice project. I think it will inspire a lot of others, I know it inspired me to get back to my Del Sol.

Well guys, I had something unexpected happen to me yesterday.. I was given some wheels! I don't have my camera on me, but here's what they be.
(At least I think these are the wheels )

17" Konig Blatants

He m for yeas, on an accord, tires wore out, put stockers back on it, then the timing belt broke and he parked the car. Stucl the wheels in storage since then.

He came over (was walking his dog) and we were talkin and he just up and said he had some wheels for me!

How cool is that?!

So, I'm thinking these may go on Aeris and my Rota's will go on Jellygbean.. We'll see.

Updated pics when I get em!

Seems I have been missing this thread somehow. Great work on the car man and great price to start with. Keep it up!!

My Cousin has a 94 Sol stock with D15B7. Its been a solid car with well over 200K miles on it. Only big problem she has had is with the leaks. Hers leaks BAD on the passenger side and pretty bad on the drivers side.

Again, great work and keep it up
