I know, right? Freaking Dr. Jekyll Mr Hyde stuff. Her lookin pretty is coming soon... My Integra is REALLY close to being ready for paint. Tucking the harness is done. Its just a matter of getting down and dirty on the sanding.

As SOON as My Integra is at home and complete, I'm throwin the filler on Jelly.

Well, I've been snooping around and managed to find a Samba green gas door. Also found an OEM wing that dude has yet to get back with me on shipping.

Sooooooooo... When I get my lil gas door, that'll be all I need to get started on that rear panel! That is, as soon as I'm done with my other 2 projects

Definetly. Hey, just keep in mind if for some reason the lil D dies, I have a GSR that would go in it's place

But thats not gonna happen, this lil car runs too good.

Lookie what I just found, like 2 mins from where I work...

I've noticed a wrecked car, sittig in a yard for several weeks, maybe over a month or so but always thought it was like a Cavalier or something. I mean, it's a ways off the road and it's parked straight with no front bumper.

But today, when I was driving past it I looked at it, again as usual, but this time I noticed the lil, I guess I"ll call em panels that go from the roof to the trunk and said to the dude riding with me " Holy crap, thats a freaking Del Sol".

I went back, knocked on the peoples door, but nobody was home. I'll stop back by after work, maybe chat with em if they are there. If they aren't I'll go back by tomorrow evening later.

I'm sure they hit some sort of forest creature, since I work out in t3h middle of nowhere, probably a deer judging by the damage. Believe it or not, you want to hit a Deer over a Hog.

So, the plans?

Well, I'm thinkin wayyyyyyy too far ahead but IF they wanted to sell it and IF it was a good price (a couple hundred) and IF the car isnt totaled and IF it ran good, well I"d probably take the front end off of Jellybean and save myself a ton of work.

But, thats alot of ifs, not to mention that if they were going to sell it to me for a good price, getting my wife to OK it would NOT be easy.

But, we'll see

I can't believe theres a freaking wrecked Del Sol less than a mile from my job. Wow. What are the odds?!

dang man you is one lucky guy. over here we just get riced cars they cost more than the wrecked ones but they look just as good. but that'd be cool if they let it go.. maybe do some work for them in return for a good deal on the car and if it's totaled you got a good parts car. or it's good for scrap money
good luck with jelly bean thats the wordls best find right there.

Well, my Bro and I got ALOT done on the civic. FINALLY got her running. I need to get some pics and write up a detail on the Map sensor because the way it had to be wired was... interesting. Hard to explain, but I"ll try and get pics later.

But she's running now! No codes or anything, purrs like a kitten. The interior is all put together, I have the exhaust lined up to put on. The alternator isn't working, but I have another one. Problem is I cant get the bottom bolt out to remove the alternator. I had to cut the nut off and I beat the bolt with a 5 lb hammer and punch, but it was all in vain Have to try somethin else.

I'm hoping to have it ready to drive home this weekend and have it sold ASAP! Updates on that when I do.
-----------------------

AS far as Jellybean updates.. On Saturday I actually just messed around for once.. Didn't really HAVE to do anything, but just felt like doing something. It was nice, since the past couple months I've HAD to work on my Integra and I've HAD to work on that 5th Gen civic.

Anyway, I want to get new tint on Jelly, so that meant the old had to come off.

And off it came.

It took a long time. This is the first time I have successfully removed tint. IT requires, more than anything else, patience and lots of it.

Ta daa!

Then, I popped t3h hood and figured I'd do a mini wire tuck

Before:

After:

Before:

After:

Bay when I picked her up... Well, it was cleaned a lil bit, but thats pretty much it. except I had added gold bolts

As it looks now:

Looks much better I think.

Here's what I did...

^^^
I removed the cruise control box, unhooked the harness from a lil clip that was holding it to the side of the engine bay and just slid it down underneath where the cruise box was, so now the box is kind of sittig on top of the harness (which is for the headlights).

The plugs you see in the back, by the clutch reservoir, I just unbolted the bracket, removed the plugs form the bracket and tucked them down below the reservoir.

Now, the washer fluid line always ticked me off, I thought it was in a really stupid place, so I decided to fix that. I had some vacuum line that was pretty long, so I just ran it from the windshield washer container/pump, though the fenderliner, then up to a grommet that is right beside the hood prop (had to poke the grommet out). So, I was able to retain the washer line while hiding it

Giggity!

^^^I just unbolted the harness from it's lil bracket and removed the bracket from the plugs and just tucked them down, kinda out of sight. Without cutting wires, you can't do much more :S

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd, thats about it!

A problem Jellybean has now, which I have to fix this week, is the brake booster is going out. The pedal goes to the floor pretty quick and I have to pump the pedal to get her to stop decently. Not very safe. I have a spare booster from a GSR that I'm gonna install this week. I'll have pics of that when I get R dun!

------------------

Oh, one last thing, abotu that other wrecked Sol I found. I didn't stop by and talk to them because I AM NOT going to go there in my Del Sol. I"ll probably go by Wed or Thursday, driving my wifes Scion XB I'll update on that when I know more.

Enj0y!

---------------

Oh, I almost forgot! When I was messing around with my engine bay, I decided I wanted to move one of the spark plug wires. When I did, this happened.

That was an "aww crap" moment.

I ended up just pulling the crimp from out of the dizzy, make it a lil bigger so the wire would go back in it, and used some vice gris to crimp the wire back on. Fired right up with no problems!

So, I need new wires
