Sedan's coming along good. The spare d15 I picked up has a spun rod bearing so I'm rebuilding the one that was in the car. It's out of the car and completely apart now, bore's are honed, parts are cleaned. I'm just waiting to get the head planed and then I will be assembling it this weekend. Should be back on the road soon.

i had a lot of d series motors in my civic and a crx with an ls.... the ls in the crx was nasty but when i did a b7/z6 mini-me it actually felt about the same if not stronger... then again the sohc had a skunk2 intake mani and the ls was stock but if you have money you can make nething fast and for right now im gonna keep building sohc's for the simple fact that i can buy a block for $50 and a vtec head for $50 to $100....i dont have the money to throw away for a bseries with 140 hp

Didn't happen. The only way I can even see that possible would be an offset bored/sleeved block, strip only.

if you go on bisimoto.com he has alot of D-series dynos with configurations. They are in the Dyno Vault. Also check out one cam only dot com.

Head work, Camshaft, and bolt ons will make make good power even on a stock D16 block.

Even though my car doesn't really stand up to the majority of the crowd in here, I thought I'd share.

Kind of a basic mild build, just running a near stock Z6 in my Ef Civic Si, Has a Y8 intake manifold, home made intake, shitty alpha werks header and 2 1/4 crush bent exhaust, car weighs 2030 with interior minus the driver. took it to the track last friday and managed to squeeze out a 15.0 at 92 on my second pass of the night hitting the limiter in the first 3 gears (tach is screwy). It's a nice feeling knowing that my $500 motor is stepping into b territory, heh

for ***** and giggles...

my buddy darin (FarmYard on here) and i threw together an A6/Y8 combo with FJT I beams and Vitara pistons, shooting for 11s next year

but for this year, we decided to run the car NA for the break in and took it out to the track

14.71 @ 89mph with a 2.0 60ft. not bad for a low comp forged rod build

the 1990 Civic DX does weigh in at 1770lb tho. hehe

how much hp would it take to run mid to low 14's in eg hatch sohc all motor? i have a z6 block and y8 head laying around my garage collecting dust. Also have a injen wai and dc header. My 94 eg hatch currently is rocking the stock d15b7 motor with intake on a si tranny. Not to mention a a6 cam on the shelf for the dx engine.
