Power Surging, Dash-Lights Flicker, no starter signal! HELP!!!
Drove my CRX home. Worked fine. Went to start it up for work the next morning, nothing from the starter, wouldn't even turn over and my dash lights pulse now. Seems to be a power surge of some sort. I replaced the strarter thinkin' that was it. Nope. My wires are fine. For about a week before I was throwing a code 7 on my ecu but I highly doubt that to be the problem for the surge. Any help would be appreciated. It's a 1989 CR-X HF 1.5l SOHC. Email is OrtingSucks@Yahoo.Com
Mine is doing the same thing with the dash light pulsing and the main relay clicking. I'm also not getting no voltage to the stater signal wire from the main relay and the fuse for the starter signal is good also but not getting anything from there either.

My car just started doing the same thing. If I push start the car it will run (it's how I got it home) battery and alternator are perfect it seems just like the ignition and power charge harness isn't connecting properly with the main relay. HELP!

i have a 2000 civic and my speedometer went dead and the dash lights started pulsating and when i turn the ac on the blower pulsates with the dash lights, my headlights do it as well and its all synced so it dose it all at the exact same time. i thought it was the cpu or the alternator not holding a proper charge ...

ok here we go
i had the exact same problem my battery hit my hood causing the symptoms you all are describing.....
make sure all your grounds are good and get a new fuse box.......ELD can go bad and it tells the alternator how much power to put out causing everthing electrical to go crazy.....its the little black box with a 4 wire plug going into it...this thing

Also if someone else reads this bump maybe you can add some fresh perspective or experience...
Sounds like none of you have your grounds connected properly. Check thermostat ground, trans ground, and valve cover ground.
I know for sure those are all hooked up good, I cleaned them and used a light coat of electric grease on them when I reinstalled them. My fuel pump also pulses in time with the dash lights. Any chance it is the alternator or eld? I haven't checked grounds inside the car yet so still have to rule those out.
