Built my first manifold!!!! PICS!!!
well i built my first manifold for a friends drift car. he placed first at the last event here in Houston and got his D1 license witch means he will notw be going on tour with his AE86 1985 Corolla GT-S (i also drive a GT-S)
so he went from a stock SR20DET turbo on 12psi to a SPA GT30 turbo with a anti surge 4inch inlet and i thought id help him out for more power as well as getting my name out there. this was a great challenge trying to fit a large turbo on a 4age motor. the distributor is in the worst position ever on these motor with stopped me from going top mount. so i went bottom mount. but we still had to do a in car brake master cylinder. it turned out great for my first one and only welding for around 2 and a half months. so heres some pics. please let me know what you think of it! enjoy

So about the master cylinder..... where is it going?
Looks good man, IMO, more heat good have been used on your flange welds for more penetration to "grab" onto it.
Not bad for a "rookie"!
Now make us some tattoos!

daaang, youre definately moving along nicely.. and that steady hand pays off man.. your beads are straight and even all across. very consistent.
i wish you luck with your business man, keep this up and you'll definately get your name out there quick. those welds remind me of synapse's welds.. keep it up.

Where did u get your pipes from? im also planning to do my own. Very nice for a first time, it'll take time and practice to perfect them. Even the great Bisimoto took 15 times to get the performace and look that he wanted.
so heres a update, ive been busy doing a 350z cage, but the car has left the shop now and the customer is VERY happy with the turn out. here is the down pipe. making 3in fit in a ae86 is one hell of a job. i used .035 308L mig wire for the whole thing. making the reducer to the flange was SOOO hard. turned out great though. let me know what you think

the easier way to make a reducer is to roll one out of sheet, to make it even easier you can use the software in the link below to make the template for you.
