Thanks

OK, I managed to upload a few pics before the comp went nuts:

Here are the headlights I got back from my retro guy. The guy did an amazing job, he seriously does top notch quality work. Last time I came to his house, he had an old school lambo and viper in his driveway and he was working on the retros for both those cars. If anyone is looking to get them done, IM me and I can provide his contact information. He told me he's gotten headlights from the states to do retros, and he's pretty big on HIDplanet.com (Linux_global).

The headlights are brand new from the dealer, and for about a year and a bit, I was searching for the perfect combination for a retro. I ended up getting AMG E55 projectors that came with high and low beam, Clear projector lenses from an Aftermarket HID euro company...had the cut and fit. And for the Ballasts and bulbs, I'm running 4300K D2R bulbs from an infiniti G35. The shrouds are from an E55 as well, along with a backing piece from the intergra (98-01) from the highbeams to cover up any light that was escaping (har to see from the pics). I put my new headlights up beside my beaters old lights so you can see the difference:

Old

New

I also had him whip me up a custom harness so I could easily unplug the highbeam. These were from an Landrover I believe:

Also my new fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator came in. I'm missing about 3 or 4 more fittings to complete my fuel setup, and the parts are in a truck on their way here at the moment. But for now, here is a bit of a teaser:

And my good buddy Alan from Full Limit Motorsports finished making my custom tucked harness. Braided sleeves with shrink tubing

I'll post more pics this evening when I get back from work

Haha, I wish I lived in Florida, I can only drive the car for 6-7 months a year max because it snows the rest of the time.

Haha thanks, I'll hopefully have another update today, and hoping to have one on the weekend.

Thanks man,

To be honest with you, it's impossible to have a build this intense without having a daily for me. I work or go to school almost everyday and I tried doing the bus thing for a few months and I was late almost all the time, and it was just impossible to deal with. I ended up picking up this:

It's great on gas (D series) and it's all OEM so it's super comfy. I highly recommend getting a second car when you have a built one. Plus the chances of you getting ur car or having an accident are more slim

You mentioned on the first page you were going to be hiding the cruise control. I'm anxious to see how you will be doing that! I don't think I've ever seen anyone tuck there cruise!

Yeup, well the cruise cable will be the only visable thing in the engine bay.

So I've been searching for the front bra for a few years now, and the closest I came to it was finding a guy on my street with it on the car for the past 4 years. It looked horrible though, it was sagging and a bit faded so I thought I might buy it for cheap. I approached his house and spoke to him, and he said he had to ask his wife cuz it's her car. Sure enough, a day later he calls me to tell me his wife wants to keep it, it was pretty crappy because it looked so run down already, I couldn't figure out why they wanted it.

A year after that, a good friend of mine gave me a call to let me know his close buddy is selling one. and it's been sitting on his shelf in the garage for the past 6 years, brand new in box, top part was put on the car a few times but that's it. Anyways, it was a steal and the thing was mint. The bottom piece was never installed and you could see because the felt on the backing is as white as Eminem. Here are some pics:

Yes, it's the Authentic Honda/Acura dealer option bra:

This bra screams quality! I had one for my old DA, and it was aftermarket. The Bra was so junk, clips broke and it sagged a bit, but this one has clips everywhere so that it pull it back tight:

The warning label that everybody ignores:

This is going to be used to going to shows, track events, etc. I intend on taping off the bumper and front hood with low tack masking tape before installing it, as I know the damage these cause to paint (even though it's new)

Also, more fittings arrived for the fuel system:

Time to start putting the fuel assembly together. I'm probably going to go get that done today

As for the more artsy pic, I'm trying to spice this thread up and work a little on my photography

Edit:
Also forgot to include these small bits, thought I'd throw them in. I painted the tranny mount as well as the headlight support beam. I stripped the old coating off and sanded and killed all the rust on it as well. As you could see from the pics on the first page, this bar was rusted to hell. I was contemplating buying a new one, but after checking how bad the rust was, I decided to go with painting it, since the rust was only surface rust from the bolts. Anyway, enough chatter, here are the pics:
