EG civic knuckle same as DC2 / ITR ?
hi all. Quick one...
Is a EG knuckle the same as a ITR ?
I have ITR caliper + rotor setup but the knucles are bent ~ will this setup (after pressing out the bearing etc ofcourse) fit onto my stock EG knuckle ?
thanks again Ben

I have a aussie delivered 1992 EG5 Si (d16a8/ZC).
Let me reiterate ~
Will the DC2R calipers / brake fit onto a EG civic knuckle ?

No, not without making new caliper brackets to space the caliper further away from the hub.

No, unless they are from an EX EG with the 10.3" Rotors.

i intend to have DC2 99spec ITR rotor + caliper combo on my EG civic ~
it seems the only way is to use a EG6/DC2/ITR knuckle OR use a spacer to fit the combo on my stock knuckles ?!

FACT!!!, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.
I have Spoon Calipers on a 4x100 set up. After a weekend of test fitting and a little R&D we concluded the only way to properly install Spoon calipers on a U.S. spec "EG", you must swap out and replace with DC knuckles. Just keep in mind, when purchasing new bearings, BUY DC BEARINGS.
Reason being, the mounting points/holes for your new upgraded calipers are a few millimeters off your existing "eg" knuckles. Attempting to line up your new calipers to your existing "EG" knuckles will not align.
We also attempted to use '99-'00 Civic Si ("EK")knuckles and failed as well. The mounting holes on the '99-'00 Civic Si align but do not give enough clearance when you attempt to assemble the entire braking system together.
FYI - A true Jap Spec RHD EG SIR model will come factory with the required knuckles. No fuss or replacement what so ever. It's just the way they made them in Japan... lucky f**kers. LOL
This would make it a 2nd confirmation from someone on HT.com
Hope the info helps.
I understand you're doing an ITR brake upgrade and I did a Spoon brake upgrade but the similarities between the two are in the alignment of the mounting holes.
...I found some pics which may help you too.
