Default will it make a lot of difference

I have a built b16 turbo (T3/T4 57trim .63 ar) I'm running 14,5 psi and it makes 320whp. I had this al done in a local shop here in the Netherlands a couple of months ago. But today i measured the size of my downpipe and it is 2,25 inch, the same as my charge pipe. And my pipe from turbo to IC is 2 inch. I know this is too small so i want to upgrade to a 3 inch downpipe and thicker IC piping. But will it make a lot of difference?

first at 10psi
second at 14,5psi

How much? 10whp or more like 50whp
Will this also be the reason that it spools real slow. Im at full boost(14,5psi) around 5500-6000rpm. What would be normal?

thanks Jose

Yes,

For the exhaust (downpipe) 3" is the smallest diameter i would go with, Like they say "NO Exhaust" is the best exhaust for a turbo car...

As for the charge pipes, Most street applications use a 2.25" to a 2.5" IC piping.. I mean u can use 3" or even 4" IC piping but there are cars making 600+whp on just simple 2.5"..

Anyways, Good luck and have fun

10 bucks ur ss autoshit manifold cracks in under 4 months

changed to a manfiold im sure would give u a ton of more power, something with a better colletor
such as full race or love fab
but then agian they are bank to get

3 inch dp will give u a bit more power
why not just run a cutout on ur curent dp

LOL, I love it when people bash on a manifold because it looks like an SS Autochrome. That is NOT an SS Autochrome manifold. You can clearly tell by the collector...

Without a downpipe, the turbo won't even spool up. On a turbo car, you definetly want to go with a 3 inch downpipe and 2.25 inch charge pipes are fine. My friend made over 650 WHP with 2.25 inch charge pipes.

the 2 inch from turbo to IC is normal. People use smaller turbo to IC piping then IC to throttle because it speeds up the air flow to the IC then it slows down to the throttle body.. Leave that it's fine. Definately 3" DP though since you have no AC anyway!

A 3" downpipe is more than enough for your situation, going bigger is only going to cause issues with bottoming out.

your piping is fine, just change the downpipe to 3"
I dont think u will make anymore power if u go with bigger IC piping.

Nobody can tell you for sure, but I'd expect 20-30 WHP and around 300-500 RPM's quicker spool, assuming you have a 3" catback and not a 2.25 incher to clog **** up.

The downpipe will make a nice gain in HP, I dont think bigger IC pipes will give you over 5 hp
