how about a thread for just front ends. just pics please. there are several threads with like batt install, intercooler setup, bumper setup, rad support fab, if you could all gather up just the pics you have posted or have of your cars on your front end fab work i think it would be a great help for alot of races out there. there are some good threads on diff stuff but theres so many pages of talk it takes forever to just see some pics of guys work. thanks for any help!

here is my hotrod chassis front end.

here is the front end on the street car integra ive been sleeping on.
there is an "undertray/catch pan" that is not in the pictures.
i want to re-do all of the front tubing differently, because i dont believe the diameter turbing i used is sufficiant enough. :-/ im also not happy about the over all design as it doesnt seem like it would be strong enough to me.

What size and material is everyone using for the tubing/rods that support these front ends?

my "tubes" for the body support are 3/8. its ideal in some area's that its used(on my particular car) , but i dont feel as though its enough in other areas. i want to upgrade to something like 3/4 dia. or so.

I was just actually talking to a buddy of mine. his friend is welding in my 10-point cage, chute mount, window net mount, everything. and being that ill be using a big core intercooler i wanted to get this front body support done to also use as area to mount my intercooler. im curious how ever since i am using a 3-piece strada front, would the front have to be present when the fabrication is being done to test fit or is it not necessary? trying to get all this done before sending my shell in for painting...

id suggest having the front end there, so it can be properly mounted. if not, there could potentially be issues with the front not fitting.

i guess ill have him just put in the cage and stuff for the time being and when the front arrives and traction bars arrive ill come back to get that done and have the end takes done on my intercooler core...

Dturbocivic, did you do the traction bar on the integra? I'm debating on building one myself. (Unless a nice used one pops up) The threads that I have searched looks like most have bought one. (Or im searching the wrong thing) I still have the factory framing to work with just no upper or lower radiator support.

Bump this up! I'd like to see some more pictures of front end fab work as well. Going to be mounting my EG Exospeed front up soon.

This should be a very helpful thread. I for one have limited fabrication exposure but pretty good fabrication skills and access to most tools so ideas are what I need most of the time.

Not bad at all!

I have no fabrication exposure, no fabrication skills (that I know of), and a low tool selection- But I'm pretty confident that I can buy the tools I need and learn

The DP team has some pretty awesome front end support on their vehicles. I tried to take a peek at during Honda Day; but I couldnt get a good look with their front ends on (I just got a quick glimpse through the fender well ). I know there are quite a few thread's on front end mounting; but I'm still undecided as to whether im going with dzus fastners, or quick latch . Either way the fastners dont mean jack without out the support necesarry to keep my front from ripping to shreds. (Strada over here too)
More pics please!!!!

Ya they do. I really like the quik latches so I will more than likely go with them. I also want to remove my lower radiator support and mount my radiator to my traction bar so I can basically slide my engine out of the front. It would make things alot easier.

This is what most of my buds do. I shaved my support, and painted it, so I can't do that, but the lower support is a manditory removal item. No need if you run a traction bar. Cant see why one might need a front end, but no traction bar. Just me though.

If you run the spherical joints in the front suspension you don't need traction bars..hence why most of the Outlaw guys and top SFWD guys don't have traction bars.
