EJ Civic Gets 24-hour Only Makeover for Car Meet, Fans Flock
Customizing a car, even temporarily on a Civic, is an expensive game, so be ready to drop major dollars to get the look you want.
Sometimes you want to customize your car, but don’t want to have to live with the same things for years at a time. YouTuber AllDayAnthony has a solution for this problem, though it’s not cheap and it won’t necessarily make your car any faster.
In a recent video posted to his channel, he transforms his early 2000s Civic into a show-ready machine with a wrap and other upgrades, but did the whole thing as a stunt for a one-day auto show event.
Anthony says that he didn’t want to do anything to the car that couldn’t be undone the next day, so the appearance changes are all superficial without any major modifications done to the car. More impressive than the transformation is the fact that it was all done for a one-night show. The wrap, neon lights, and tire stickers make it sound like there wasn’t a ton of work done to the car, but the finished product looks nice.
Big Team and Large Pockets Help
Of course, Anthony had the help of a garage full of people and sponsors that likely covered the cost of something like this, but if you’re looking to make similar upgrades to your car, Civic or not, keep in mind that the process will be expensive. Car and Driver found that wrapping a small coupe like a Fiat 500 starts around $2,000, while a larger coupe would start close to $3,500. Those amounts will cover a decent paint job in many shops, so be sure that you’re prepared to shell out cash before committing to even a temporary wrap. Add that to the cost of tire stickers, which can cost upward of $100, and you can see how the costs for project like this can add up.
Temporary or Not, EJ Civic Killed It
The end result was a car that looked to have been modified to a much greater level than it actually was. Passersby stop to admire it and Anthony’s neon lights set the whole thing off after dark. It may be expensive and not the most responsible thing to do with your daily driver, but we can’t argue with the results.
