Mase-A-Palooza Dyno Results
Well, after a long week, im back home and getting back to school for the summer.
Last week was interesting....Its seems like VA has a curse on cars not being done. Well, instead I should say, a lot of little things kept the cars from being tuned.
Regardless, I tried to stay up all hours of the night to fix these gremlins so we could further tune the cars.
First and foremost, I'd like to thank a few people. First, Corey for picking me up at the airport, letting me stay at his place, giving me a couple cars to drive around so i could go visit my family all over VA, as well as letting us base the street tuning out of his place. So most of you guys owe him a thank you.
Secondly, my partner in crime PrecisionH23(anthony). He came up there eager to help and learn. You helped me out a lot. I hope it was worth the trip. I think it was, even though we busted our *** a lot, we had some fun.
Finally to all of you that actually showed up. There were a few people who didnt bother to tell me they werent gonna be showing up until last minute. Kinda sucks cuz I turned down a lot of people that could have filled the empty spots.
It turns out, I actually lost money renting the dyno. we had 5 total cars dyno. a couple of them were last minute entries, thank you guys for trying to fill the gap.
it was suppose to be 8 cars. and it turned out to be only 4 of the 8. so thank you Shaun and Kommy for fillin in the gaps. I only received $400 for the dyno time, and had to pay $600 for the day, so that was 200 bucks less out of my pocket, so thats why i was little pissed that people didnt bother to tell me they werent gonna show up.
Anyways, onto the better part....
Paris was the first person to dyno, It was pretty impressive on the street. I knew that it would be hittin close to 400 for sure. he's setup is an LS/Vtec w/ full-race kit, the best of course..... all of this on stock sleeves too I'll let the owner of the car to release more of his setup if he wishes...
Next was carlos, his car was an Accord w/ an H22. He's car felt damn good, but due to the wrong map sensor we couldnt street tune his car on a 3 bar until on the way to the dyno. his torque and power curve are excellent. AND before anyone bitches about the AFR curve, the dyno was a bit sketchy, we used a sniffer and im pretty sure it was reading a little lean. I tuned to his Techedge wideband that he had on the car to a 12:1 afr.
Next was corey. Poor guy, every little thing that could go wrong w/ his car did. he's exhaust broke, battery coming undone, charge pipes blowing off, just stupid **** he couldnt predict happening.... he's car did great considering its only a b17a (bored to 84 mm so basically a 1.8L)
Next was shaun....boy i gotta say for a motor that is over 10 years old, it did pretty good, it was a stock b16 and at about 9 psi.
Last by not least, Kommy w/ the whale dick all motor car.
When I rode in it, i knew it was gonna be close to 200 whp....we were so close, and i know if we would have let it cool off it would have hit 200 no doubt. Very impressive, and the throttle response was untouchable.
Im going to leave it up to the owners of the vehicles if they wish to share more of their setup. some people dont like their **** to be announced so its not my job.
More over, from the other thread, we went to hooters for the after party, we dropped a good bit of money on the food and beer. and for our server who was pretty cool. Probably the best time of that night was when Anthony and I tried to buy beer from a old gay guy at 7eleven and he wouldnt sell it to us even though it was like 1150 pm. We later came back to that gas station to find something in the back of the car, and i think the gay guy thought i was coming back to shoot him. HAHA. we also stopped at the most off the hook lounge. The beer and shots were cheap, and lets say anthony had too much fun in the bathroom! haha
Later on the drive home, more bad luck for corey, everyone was pretty passed the **** out when we here this, BLAM CLING BING.... we pull over to find this on coreys car:
Here are some various other pics from the trip.
These bitches cant take the party life....
All in all, everyone met their goals I presume. Hopefully everyone has learned something, as I have too. Mase-A-palooza was a success, and like everyone, people try to copy everyones **** in this industry which is really sad and pathetic but u gotta shake the jealousy and haters off, but that just proves they're inferior and makes it quite hilarious to read....but just remember who was the original-A-Palooza y0! Good luck w/ everyones setup. its now time to start planning for my west coast event

I feel sorry for whoever dries their hands with that towel thingy in the bathroom! hahaha.
I had a blast and learned a lot more about tuning with EMS and hondata. It was also good to meet a few of the other members as well.
And by the way, I can party my *** off 24-7. No reason to stay awake when you have a bitch driving you home Thanks again for letting me crash on the couch cory. By the way, you might want to get your dog tested for homosexuality.

ok great again those numbers are awesome. goes to show you what good combination of parts and tuning abilities can make.
most dont on 9:1?? thats good news to me now i feel i can break the 400 mark as well. if yo had said 10:1 i would have been worried

Mase maybe a deposit for the next event would be a good idea. Sucks that people flaked on you, but what can you do
Awesome #'s im sure everyone is more than happy, and sounded like a good time.

We had 4 pitchers of beer for 4 people! They said that the limit is a pitcher per person. We ate 70 wings between 4 people and Mase had onion rings which he licked before he went to the bathroom, then Anthony licked two onion rings stuck together and Mase ended up eating all of the Rings minus one, well that is not the one Anthiny licked. EWWW! Anthony and Mase are close REAL CLOSE!

If it's like that, the bed's big enough for two...both him and Anthony can come stay down in Atlanta...as long as they keep that **** down...

Mase and Anthony both have girlfriends so I think it will be ok
I might would come down to get tuned for high boost! I think I had a boost leak that kept me to like 17psi (mase?) and wasn't staying steady with the controller disconnected.

Maybe the boost leak was form the turbo to the manifold?

Terry is the biggest queer ever, he had like 1 beer out of those 4 pitchers! haha. That's a pretty lame policy though, 1 pitcher a head. I wish we took more pictures of the hole in the wall bar we went to as well as the homo at 7-11.
I'm down for an ATL tuning session. I've been out to balanced performance in the past and they charge $800 to rent out the dyno for a day. I plan on having my set-up ready to tune in early july. It's been knocked back a few weeks because Larry at Endyn is not doing so well. Keep him in your prayers guys.
We have a dyno here in Charleston, SC as well. I am not sure how much they charge for a whole day though.
As far as coreys set-up, it is definetely capable of much more power. First the smoking problem needs to be diagnosed as well as the PCV set-up. Then find out if and where your vacuum leaks under high boost are occuring. Then tighten all of your bolts. Then buy a boost controller
I was very impressed with Paris's set-up as well. Mase and I were both going for at least 500whp on his set-up until we found out it has stock sleeves. And yes, I know all about jinx and other guys pushing 500+ on stock sleeves. It's better to be safe then sorry.
