When the first pic flashed onto my screen, I envisioned a guy with individual stainless steel strands, weaving them by hand over a stock rubber hose, making a stainless steel 'braided' line the hard way.

eh.. it was a joke.

However,it would help based on physics and the nature of the object.. but not enough to matter, or notice. Basically it would be immeasurable IMO.

one of the problems w/the ziptie deal is, it's not constricting the line entirley.. it cas still bulge/expand in btwn the parts that aren't ziptie'd.

I did this, yet my zip ties are much closer and tighter. I didn't really notice much of a difference. I have not driven the brakes to the limit yet on a track.. so we'll have to see.

The reality is most cable ties have a snap strength of around 80lbs. That wont last 20 seconds if the line wants to expand..

Or if you have kids, you can zip-tie your youngest to the strut and have him hold onto the brake line really tight to make sure it doesn't expand.

Why not just smear JB weld over the whole line? Then duct tape over that. Maybe top it off with bondo?
