Default DSM 450 and hondata

I don't know if any of you all have seen this on the Hondata Forum, I barely caught it.

I find that very interesting. I have been running the DSM 450cc with Hondata for nearly a year now with no problems. This is on a GSR with P72 ecu.

Is that supposed to be a joke or a total lack of knowledge?

We've had 2 hondata cars run 450's with no problems at all.......maybe the hondata forum got hacked or something?

Hmm, I have dsm 450's and full blown Hondata s200. Car runs fine, idles fine, and a/f tuning was perfectly fine on the wideband...silly.

Come to think of it...my car was always a bitch to start with the DSM450s but once it was started and running i never had a problem. I figured it was because of the afc hack and the huge -40% on my afc.

But i really dont think any of us here is gonna really care about starting problems as long as it does start.

Its the "does not work with the honda ecu and will case problems" im having a hard time with.

I wonder if doug can explain further - taking into consideration everyone who has had success. I dunno, I was really looking forward to saving all that money on injectors.

Mine work fine with my s200, not sure what the deal is with that post. Maybe someone can get him to come over here and explain a little more for us?

agreed,
i don't agree with Doug. although I never measured the impedence of Leon's injectors, they were not any different to tune than any others. i have tuned other cars with DSM 450s and had no issues either.

Those weren't Doug's words.

The issue seems to involve "4-7 ohm" DSM injectors. I have personally never seen a set of these. They are always 2.5 ohms.

Personally, I think some people have been claiming to use DSM injectors when in fact they are not.

I have no problems either...tuning was quick and efficient as well.

The only thing I could see is that the car does start odd...its a lot quicker than with the stock injectors. It just fires right up and idles low for a few seconds, then raises to normal. With all the modifications we make to these cars, thats hardly something I would even call an "issue", nevermind a problem!

Maybe there would be problems running DSMs if they were 6 ohm like it said. they are less than 3.0 ohms though.

yes, I would like some proof that things don't work as he said. I have a set of 450cc DSM injectors I got from MikePalm that I have been using for a few months now, and things seem to be fine here.
