No, and no. Heat DOES NOT LEAVE from that area.
Air, in general, DOES NOT LEAVE from that area.
Do your ******* homework before making retarded assumptions just because it doesn't look that cool.

Re: (Solar Stone)
as an appearance mod i think its gay as *****.. makes your hood look like its busted and sorta messes up the entire clean line of the car. Looks like a dam mistake. Unless you actually get a few more ponies out of doing something like that i think its totally stupid.. most of the heat is up by the headers anyways not by the firewall. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by [d »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">UCKDOWN]

this guy is smart in saying do your homework.
for that kind of dumb mod why dont you ride hoodlesss or with the hood up if you want real heat disapation..

Re: (95civic4dr)
the hood spacers would do better for heat dissipation probably with K-series swaps being that the exhaust manifold is running right under the firewall
but anywho, the CTR is using it for function

Re: (integra type s)
I may be wrong but, when you are driving and air is rushing into your bay, it is evidently being pushed through the bay and out over the front windsheild. And if there was more space then, the air would flow smoother.
Not to say this will help at idle or even makes the car perform better, but it will let warm air escape quicker while driving.
Just a thought.

this i would totaly agree with more because the headers are right on the firewall and i would see how that would help a K... but i still think a B is not affected as much.. i touched the firewall a few times after long hard drives in Miami were is super hot and super humid and the air would defenitely heat up quick and the firewall is pretty dam normal temp if not no heat.
if your that worried about head coming from the headers especially.. heat wrap it. and that should solve that.. heat wrap i think would be more functional to keeping heat low in the bay VS. the hood tilt

Re: (305JDM)
take out stock bolts
goto sears hardware or home depot and get longer ones
put spacers between hinge and hood
put new bolts in
not rocket science.
