Making A CRX Run 13's...
Hi,
I don't need to know how, I'm just curious how much money would it probably take to get a CRX to run 13's RELIABLY? An estimate would be great.
Thank you!

Wow! That was fast. Thanks so much guys! That was exactly what I wanted. Now i'm just debating between CRX or Infiniti G20 with SR20DET swap, but that's my problem. Thanks guys!
Edit: One more thing, what do you think is the most that I should pay for a good condition CRX? Also, do you recommend any specific years or models? I would like one in good condition as this will be my daily driver...
Sorry for all of the questions!

An 88 hf is the lightest model, if you are looking to do any sort of swap. I would also stay away from the dx models if you are swapping. They do need more wiring due to only having 2 injectors. I paid 1500 for mine - 88 DX model, 210k on the car, pretty decent condition, some rust in the rear... not much. I would pay, maybe 2500+ for another if it was in really good condition w/no rust or problems.

Re: (IcebergMan)
I paid 2800 for mine and it had a b16a swap with a few bolt ons and the body is in great condition. you can usually find them in fairly good condition for about that or less.

b18c with s1 tranny with intake/header/exhaust and a nice set of stage2 cams will get you into the 13's. Like someone else said should run you about $3500-3800 all said and done if you stay on a budget and dont splurge for the most expensive I/H/E(which you dont need to do at all).
A completely rust free crx will cost you out the ***. #1 they are harder and harder to find everyday. #2 people who have them know they have something special. Expect to pay 2000-3000 for a minty fresh and 1000-2000k for good or above average condition. Of course there are always good deals out there, these are just rough estimates to give you an idea.

Alright, thanks a ton for the replies!
Since this is going to be my daily driver I would like it to be in good condition but it doesn't have to be in immaculate condition.
Just a few more questions, after a do the swap, how much MPG do you think I will get? Also, how will the engine be effected if I don't run premium gas? A lot? Not at all?
Thank you!
